Anyone has a good build for PvE Vow of Strength ?
My current build is becoming a tank while able to dish out some damage.
I am thinking of adding conjure Flame/Frost to add damage but don't have the elemental scythe yet.

Please advice.

Scythe 8 + 1 + 3
Earth Prayers 11 + 1
Mysticism 11 + 1

Currently my skills are:
[skill]Vow of Strength[/skill][skill]Conviction[/skill][skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill][skill]Mirage Cloak[/skill][skill]Heart of Fury[/skill][skill]Mystic Vigor[/skill][skill]Faithful Intervention[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

i tried echoing HoF for a VoS build one time to keep an IAS up pretty much through 2 VoS cycles.....it didn't do as much damage as i thought it would.

I might ditch mirage cloak and bring conviction.....but i would wait to see what other people might say.

First of all, are you primarily going to tank or primarily going to dish out damage with this build?

If you're going damage, I'd suggest dropping some mysticism along with Mirage Cloack, Conviction and Heart of Fury. You'll do the most damage with:
16 Scythe
13 Earth (of course you'll do more damage with a major or sup in earth, but the health loss isn't that appealing)

Now, I'd suggest you bring Flail along with some kind of snare. Be that Armor of Sanctity or Aura of Thorns. If going aura of thorns, bring Sig of Pious Light to remove it and get bleeding + cripple on nearby foes. Flail can be kept up indefinately even when hitting only 1 foe. If you're looking for a cancel stance, Rush is a good option.

Doesn't Vow of Strength buff your damage by a set percent, not by a number?
IMO, Vow looks nice, but I haven't really been satisfied with the damage increase it gives me.

It boosts your damage by a percent, not a certain number like it says in the pop-up windo when you hover your mouse over the skill icon.

Warkaster, I have conviction up there

Silverhand, while Flail + Rush is a good idea, I only have Nightfall so Rush is out of the question. Enraging charge works fine for my warrior, but Dervish with 0 strength would only get 5 second and 20 seconds cooldown.
Yes, I want to be able to deal damage while tanking decently. Which is kind of reverse for my current build.

The more I try VoS build, the more I'm convinced that VoS is better be used as main tanker as it allows us to use a lot of enchantments.

I think EDA is a better tanking elite. I use it to great success. Personally I think your build needs a good snare like Aura of thorns, snare and bleeding. It's a good thing.

As much as people tend to love Heket's Rampage, I simply cannot bring myself to investing that many points into BM for it to be worthwile. But thats just one mans opinion.

if you invest that many points in BM you can get great damage out of a pet as well, and running stances, and spirits.

You may want to consider throwing Symbiosis onto the skill bar too if you're running enough BM to make Heket's Rampage good. With all the enchantments on your bar, your dervish will consistantly have about 800-1000 HP. Throw an Orders Necro into your group and the whole party can benifit from Symbiosis as well.

Also, since this is for PvE, you can get away with running a Superior Rune for both Earth and Scythe. The extra -75 HP won't matter with Symbiosis up and the mobs are too stupid to go for the nature spirit.

I think i said that before, didnt i? maybe the word spirits wasnt to clear, there isnt really any other one except symbosis for a dervish.

I never understood why people like using symbiosis in PvE. All it does it slow down the killing process....
