Looking for one

Mo/E

I just made 40K profit a day by buying 3 or 4 items on Guru Auction and sell them ingame for just a bit more. I think finding good deals and buyers took me around 30 minutes a day so i kept fun in the game by doing GvG, HA, TA and PvE with guildies. And after two weeks like this is found a maxed gold stack and 105 Obsidian Shards and organized a guild trip to get my FoW armor at the forgemaster.

I kept aiming for the ''40K rule'' and bought some rare perfect skins to match my FoW in example Chaos Axe, Eternal Shield and Fellblade. After that i stopped with that and had alot of fun.

These days i wanted Female Vabbian Armor on another monk i made and used the ''40K rule'' once again and now i'm aiming for a nice Tormented Weapon.

wow, very surprised to see that so many people don't like trading.

I'm a huge trader, and I often find myself playing mmo's *just* to trade (and craft, if possible).

I currently play Eve but only log in a couple of times a day to check my transactions and manage my orders and contracts. I make enough money to buy gametime from other players using ingame credits (which is legal, in case anyone wondered!).

I used to trade a lot in Lineage 2 when that first came out, and I was supplying an entire alliance with gold and items at one point, mostly by trading alone. I eventually gave it up because of getting frustrated by all the farmers and bots.

How I feel about scamming.. it depends. I definately think it's part of the game, unless the scammers use shady game mechanic exploitations, or do it on alts which are impossible to tie to their main character. I consider "legit scamming" to be fair, as long as the scammer risks earning a bad reputation for it. I have never scammed myself, as I enjoy forming a customer base.

I never could get into trading in GW though. I just don't like having to stand there manually shouting to sell stuff (especially having to compete with all the spam, ugh). I enjoy when I can come home from work and see 6 items missing from my shop and a fat wallet, then taking a few minutes to invest it and putting more stuff up to sale as I go make dinner or something.

I just do what I'm in the mood for. Farming runs if I think that would be relaxing. Etc. I have a little under 500K in cash, but between the hundreds of candy canes I farmed, the elemental sword I got on the recent great-chest weekend, and so on, I could max out if I cared. I have storage pretty full across my whole account.

As for spending, I haven't done much. Two pieces of Iceforged Armor died black, contributions to some of my wife's armor and skill-buying, a Kuunavang, his-and-hers Burning Titans, a whole lot of cap sigs, one elite tome to go with one I farmed for a new character, some cheap runes and Kephket's for my heroes, a Galigord's Staff long ago for 8K -- that's mainly it. Plus I use lockpicks for the fun of it even when I expect poor returns.

This is pretty much all with an elementalist. The other characters haven't made significant money.

Money was so easy to make in GW at one time. I've made my fair share and gave most of it away. The game becomes dull if there is nothing to work towards.
