GW:EN hero slots
RainwalkerC
Hey guys, does any1 no if theres gonna be more hero slots added in GW:EN? I would love that to happen, hate the henchies
Mr_Cynical
As of now, no. There have been quite a few threads on this subject, and if I recall correctly Gaile Gray said something along the lines of 'the game can't support more heroes' (if I've mis-paraphrased, someone else please correct me). But of course, it isn't 100% out of the question, because the game couldn't support three heroes before Nightfall was released :P

Haven't heard anything. Though right now there's just not enough room round the compass for more heroes

We know this for sure:
One person will not be allowed 7 heroes.
One person will not be allowed 7 heroes.

Oh man, 7 heroes... Zhed and Sousuke set up as Searing Flames eles, Morgahn with ToF and Motivation, Margrid with Burning Arrow and Kindle Arrows, Koss with a fire weapon and Conjure Flame, Norgu with Epidemic, Extend Conditions, and MoRodgort... can you just see the potential insanity?

u have a very good point. 10 new heroes, i think and we can only have 3 of them at a time, that would be a shame
Sprites
allow 4 heroes and all '4' in town will turn to '5'
i think it'll be one per profession , so i'll be able to have 2 paras

i think w/ the introduction of HM, giving us more hero slots is really necessarry, henchies just dont cut it in HM

I think Anet just doesn't want us to completely ignore everyone else in the game though and take 7 heros by ourselves.....build (maintain) community, etc....
I mean, as it is I just hero + hench everything with a random PUG here and there. The fact that I can't take 7 heros is the only thing keeping me from never talking in game to anyone.
Well, that and the terrible market system.

hm if they allow us to take seven henchies they might as well take the game offline and make it single player only.

IMO 2 humans with 3 heroes each would be much better than 1 human with 7 heroes. Also, if you were allowed 7 heroes you could map to House Zu Heltzer, load up with heroes, and map to Tsumei Village to complete Hard Mode vanquishing with a party of 8...that's not the way the game was intended.

No, you would get still the message: "Your party is too large to travel there. Do you wish to leave your party and travel separately?" And if you would choose "Yes", then extra party members, including heroes, would be kicked out of the party.

Why? Heroes would just give the player the option to play by themselves, it doesn't force them to.
If people have more fun playing with heroes than they do with live people, then why not let them? I can't stand PUGs (in PvE), and I have no interest in joining a guild. Letting me have seven heroes would make the game much more fun to me.
I do however play with my friends on occasion, and making the game offline only would make those occasions non-existent. I (sometimes) enjoy interacting in outposts with others, and I like having a live economy. I like helping others with harder missions. I like PvP against humans.
There is still a lot of benefit the game gets out of being an online game, even if they let you adventure with 7 heroes. I just believe in making the game more fun for as many people as possible. If allowing seven heroes does that, then it would be a good change. If it doesn't, then don't do it. Either way I think that would be a better way to decide whether or not they should make the change, instead basing their decision simply on what an online game is "supposed" to be like.

as it is, i don't really group with players (other than friends) with the exception of the imperial sanctum missiion (purely for the dragon skills...if there's a way i don't know about to get your heroes those skills i would probably not even do that with players). chances are, the people that like to group with other people will continue to group with other people and the people who don't feel like taking the chance on getting into the best/worst group ever will use all heroes and hench (and before heroes, i prefered all hench to random-take-a-chance people).
i like the versatility so far and especially as time goes on and the number of people in mission towns dwindle, 7-hero groups will become more reasonable. i'm not really interested in standing around in thk for 3 hours trying to find 7 other people in order to clear ice floe in hm. i really doubt many other people would either. 7-hero groups would make that more fun for me.
7-hero groups though as far as i know aren't really on the table but i would like it. i don't really see how it would change the way people play.
i will take as many like-profession heroes as they want to give me. as it is, i keep talkora (there's an 'h' in there somewhere i think) rc prot and dunkoro straightup healing. if you don't put runes or anything on them i guess it really doesn't matter.
oh...and i second that, "bravo," above me.

Of course with 2 accounts you can have 6 heroes by way of 'dropping' and that's real fair to all the players with only one account.
