Is GW guru the best?
Bleed Me An Ocean

There is no best.
Replicant

replicant, You don't need to be so truthful.
Guru is the most popular among all the others. However, the site tends to slow down during peak period. Guru is still one of the best, one of the highest active members.

Peak period? Hell it's slow all the time for me, sometimes taking minutes at a time to open a page and I'm on a blazingly fast connection!
In answer to the OP, yeah it probably is.

GWG has the advantage of having folks who actually know something.
TGH is whiner central, GWO is annoying because you can't link anything else (not even the wiki) due to moronic policies.

At the bottom of the main forum page are the statistics showing current number of users (right now about 2100 which is average), the logged-in member names, then the total posts and current membership total (132k). You can compare those statistics with other sites for community size.
As to experienced players, I don't know another GW forum where members are so willing to share their experience instead of just bragging about it.

Hyper.nl
Probably not the best because of technical issues here from time to time, extreme slowness and corrupted html replies. But the community here is great.
Lydz
It's slow, and the community on average is a bunch of ungrateful people in my opinion, but still the best.
Faer
Our server blows. And not in a good way.
Other than that, I'd say we're pretty much on top. I'd list the reasons why, but then fans of the other forums would jump all over me for favoritism and how I'm forced to brag about the site because I'm a moderator.

There is the ungrateful and and elitist part of the community here like everywhere else, but there is also a good part of the forum community that is helpful.
EDIT: removed an unnecessary quote.

Guru is the best. It is also the slowest. But because it is so superior to other GW sites, I still read it exclusively. WTB server bandwidth!
Clinically Proven
Of course it is

Mr_Cynical
For trading, definitely. Despite the speed problems (especially with the auction site, whose server seems to give up and decide to serve pages as downloadable text files!), the important thing for trading is to have lots of buyers and sellers.
As for Guru's worth as a general forum, I'd say that your guild/alliance's forum (if it has one) is probably better, because there are more trolls here than in the cave outside Droknar's Forge.

Geez I thought I was the onlyone that had speed problems on this website...

But when I also note they also don't want you linking to ad-busting software, I start thinking that IncGamers cares about profit (from people clicking on adds) first, making a quality site second.
Do they seriously not allow linking to the wiki ANET is running ?
How do they attempt to justify that ?
And then, despite their rules about not being allowed to spam their forums, they implemented a silly mod that gave a score based on the number of posts you make a day.
I've also seen people regularly told off for posting other peoples names, despite that not being in their rules. When I commented on this, they admitted the rules needed updating (I think some people were also upset about the 10 commandments theme they have for their rules). I stopped going there September last year, and the actual text of the rules still hasn't been changed at all.
Compared to those moronic and incomplete administration policies, guru running slow, or sometimes not loading at all, is nothing.
