this is a ranger beastmaster/degen build that i came up with, trying to work on coming up with a good totally original build so if anyone wants to give advice or see if this works at all for you it would be greatly appreciated

Profession: R/N
Name: Degen Beastmaster
Type: General PVP(4v4)
Category: Damage/Degen
Attributes:

beast mastery 8+maj+hat=11
death magic 9
expertise 9+minor=10
wilderness survival 5
marks 8+ minor= 9

Skills Set:

Apply Poison
Feral Lunge
Brutal Strike
Virulence {Elite}
Comfort Animal
Charm Animal
Whirling defense
Res

Summary:

This is a pretty easy build to run, just apply poison then virulence and then smack them with the pet attacks. I've noticed most other pvp beastmaster builds use enraged lunge dealing about 80-100 damage but their whole skill set has to be devoted to beast mastery. With this one the virulence and first two pet attacks (hopefully adding bleeding) will usually get them below half health then i can use them both again and brutal strike will deal around 85 damage and hopefully finish them off. I've used it mostly in RA where it is pretty easy to dominate with this but i'm not sure how well it will transfer to TA or other PvP environments

Concerns:

Obviously there could be better ways of protecting oneself , but usually i can just use whirling and kite while still having my pet do damage....Any suggestions on readjusting the skill allotments would be nice, i'm just trying to get into pvp builds and thought i would give this board a shot

Poisonous Bite would be alot more useful than Apply. Might wanna take Scavengers Strike (the 1 that does extra to foes with conditions).

^ yeah i have run it with scavenger's instead of feral, but overall feral is better imo cuz it does almost the same damage (even w/ the bonus) and often causes bleeding so the degen is that much more

you're probably right about poisonous bite though

With Apply Poison I find if I pepper the field (changing targets each shot) I can poison many foes at a time. Which is very useful. My pet seems to stay locked on the original target.

Would drop points out of marksmanship personally. Not really looking to do damage with the bow itself, more apply poison, so would switch them to ws if you keep apply poison instead of poisonous bite.

As for virulence, your target is already going to be poisoned, so you are only adding on disease and weakness. Always found disease to be of iffy use in pvp, but if you applied it in the right situations I suppose it would work.

Might be fun just to use it in ra so you could be a r/n that isn't a toucher, really screw with people's minds.
