Ok I have been trying to get an aggressive pet for 3 times now and keep getting a playful one. Death leveling is not an option at this time since I am still working on survivor title. Any ideas on what to change? I have the following set up.
Beast 16
Marksmanship 0
Balance in expertise and wilderness survival
I use the following
[skill]Apply Poison[/skill] [skill]feral lunge[/skill] [skill]Call of Haste[/skill] [skill]Call of Protection[/skill] [skill]Charm Animal[/skill] [skill]Predator's Pounce[/skill] [skill]Comfort animal[/skill] [skill]Troll Unguent[/skill]
Question on Aggressive Pet

the problem is not just that you have apply poison on your bar, you are attacking (why else would you have apply poison). you need to not attack. read one of the many guides on making a dire pet and you'll see that attacking is never going to help you get aggressive/dire.
If you have heroes, they can also death level a pet for you...

Maybe I'd not try to go for an aggresive pet just yet, considering your title, there is a level 20 Elder bird somewhere in Kurzick territory in Factions.
If you still want an agrressive or dire pet, you'll have to drop Apply Poison (take poisonous bite) and your bow and get a shield. Bring dirt, defensive stances (or go Mesmer secondary and add Physical Resistance) and selfheal and damaging pet-attacks, which you have and then engage minotaurs outside of Ice Tooth Cave.
I've tried death leveling on heroes, but it didn't work out. Alternatively you could ask a friend or someone from your guild, it only takes an hour of afk-ing.

If you really want a dire pet, follow the pet guide by Jenosavel and Epinephrine (http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...d.php?t=89491). Your build has the right idea except that you don't want to be dealing any damage yourself, leave all of that up to your pet.
