Is there an actual reason why we cant see each others weapons inside towns and outposts? Not that it really bothers me but im just wondering.

there's an open suggestion thread on this going on right now

but basically, yes there is. it would cause more lag in town, and everyone's weaps besides yours would be in lower res

and also it's not really the kind of happy town like atmosphere to have everyone running around looking like they are ready to kill something

well we woulnt need to exactly be wielding them in town but just to have em shown (like maybe across our back or in our scabbard or w/e)

I would like to See Wow's "Inspect" feature intergrated into GW.

As far as the OP goes, I would have to agree with :

Just don't want to look like you're gonna go around hacking things up in the only peaceful atmosphere in the game..

It’s dangerous and you might accidentally poke someone’s eye out!

While we're at it, what about quivers for bow users?

if your gona talk about bow what about bows actualy having strings that are visible, and arrows that are visible when your notching them.

C'mon, Wow accustions aside, it would be nice to have them visable - or at least the option for them to be. Most people buy great skins to "show them off" a bit - it would be fun - they did it with pets and everyone loved it, why not with weapons (those equipped) on the back.

Seeing as these things are small, and more detailed, I imagine that they will probably be integrated in GW2, seeing as technology will probably be much better at rendering smaller things...

He brings up a good point, this could help or hurt our playing experience. As we will probably exclude the players that don't look like they should be carrying the item they are, but then again more people might quit GW because they aren't having much fun, and aren't able to learn how to play the game normally. Interesting topic if you ask me...

Again, harder to rend. Probably make the game laggier in town, as if we need more of that in LA dis 1. I would imagine they find a clever way to do it in GW2.

I'm just gonna have to go with this quote:
