What are you trying to achieve/complete before GW:EN is released?

I've settled into my first mesmer now to max things out and see what carries over into the Hall of Monuments. The idea is to prepare to pass as much as I can into GW2. That being that...

Objectives are to Vanquish all areas (Elona at 33/34 currently)
After vanquishing, chase protector and guardian titles.

Side effect of these goals will be cartographer titles, chest and identification titles.

Keeping "special" loot ready for the Halls, just in case.

Hmm, lets see.

For me Ele (main charactor)

Obtain Max Sunspear (12,000 points now)
Finish all Tyrian. Canthen, and Elonian Missions, and hard mode
Up to Wisdom 4 (Wisdom 2 now)
Up to Treasure 3 (Treasure 1 now. almost 2.)
Unlock all spells for all professions on her

For me Ranger:

Max out Light Bringer (32,000 now.)
Obtain Tormented Staff, and outfit for Trapping.
Finish Factions

For the Dervish:

Finish Nightfall
Get Vabbi armour for her

The the Monk

Finish Factions
Solo with him in elite areas just because I've always wanted a true 55 monk.

-Gonna try unlock the rest of my dervish skills and i'll be UAX.
-Crank my money back up
-Try not to become baked during summer -__-
-Perhaps gonna try to buy 2 more character slots
-Wishing Garter snake would get bored of that Dungeons and Dragons MMO and get back to gw -_- (We miss ya)
-And i will not leave the deep untill i get that pronged fan xD [My monk is already growing as beard down there]

I'm trying to get the last two rooms in my apartment tiled and painted before the tourists summer season starts up.

probably just get money. I have done everything on my main characters I use, my Warrior, mesmer, Ele, and Ranger. My Paragon and my Dervish arent really top priority to get through factions and prophecies so I dont really mess with them much. Probably now just pile up money, who knows maybe something hat I truly want will come out. Plus when I buy a armbrace I want to have alot of money left over. I have about 700k right now and hate spending money for some reason...

I have a stack of papers next to my computer just workiing on the answer to that question (paper since I can take it to work with me and stuff it in my purse).


so lets see---------------

I have my 4 original tyrian toons they are the farthest along....they have finished tyria and cantha....3 of them have finished nf as well (2 are working on prot titles of elona as well).
I have 5 canthans....my first rit has also completed tyria (except ldd and titan source)....she is somewhere close to the desolation in nf.
my canthan mesmer has finished nf....but not factions or prophecy...she doesnt care, but will probably finish factions in the next few weeks and has already gotten to dorks as well.
my canthan monk did the last missions in tyria (not the ones that dont count but will be before gwen). she is at the bone palace.
my other 2 are doing missions here and there, my ranger wants to get to dorks (and some new armor, at the oasis now) as well as finishing nf (primeval armor).
my elonians.....ugh my paragon has become a mule. My ele got to survivor 1 and refuses to play fearing she will die before achieving level 2. My mes is somewhere on noob island and wants to get to dorks for armor.

and my newest tyrian monk who is almost to the oasis. (has gotten heros and working on viz sq).

so goals.....most of them want to finish nf, the canthans need to finish factions as well (thats 3 of them, one has but needs to do the kurzick side).
I have been trying to get them all the skills for their primary at least....3 of my original are done with that....my rit took up paragon and needs a few more skill points to finish it up. The elonians, well....not sure what they will get done before gwen, though one is 2ndary dervish (to get all the dervish skills unlocked....she is the mesmer on noob island) and I want to get all skills unlocked before gwen (have all the monk, mesmer, ranger, and ele...only a few elites left for rit and necro, the others well paragon is closest while warrior is farthest away).
If I get that far, some of my toons need to finish up a few more bonuses/masters for prot titles, and get those last few % for the cartography title as well.....as well as one finishing up the sunspear track (at level 9 now)
so with 12 active (one semi---the paragon) toons I have my work cut out for me before gwens release.
uhm.....I should get back to the game....time is running out!

On all my characters:

Get max sunspear - 4 left and two are very close
Get level 5 lightbringer - can't see the point in maxing it if it's only useful in nightfall, if i've completed it. 2 characters left to do this. Although another two are over halfway to level 6 so I might as well do that too.
Finish nightfall, get all primary skills - two characters in the desolation.

On my necro:

Get level 4 wisdom - almost there.
Maybe get level 4 treasure hunter if there's more weekend events with double rare chest loot.

On my ele:

Finish vanquisher of elona - 32/34

On my sin:

Get some sort of max title different from my other characters. Currently working on protector of tyria. But my mes already has this so I may try vanquisher of cantha with my mes.

I have nothing left for my monk, dervish, or paragon to do.

I'm also working on getting weapons for possible heroes I'm hoping are in gw:en.

Most of this would be complete if real life didn't keep distracting me.

Wait you mean GW? I don't know.. help friends that is in needs and probably get some more 15k armor for my 9 characters.

I will be working with my eight characters as usual, getting through as much of the chapters as I can manage and collecting titles on my warrior. She's not far from finishing all chapters. Not buying any new armor until I see what's available in GW:EN. (Except dervish gets Vabbian for finishing NF. (She's still running around in a hodgepodge of 1.5 and collector.)

Main concern is 10 NEW HEROES in GW:EN.

I need gold, immense amounts of gold. I have to finish outfitting current heroes, plus the others obtained at NF end. Then I will be getting 80 new heroes in GW:EN over eight characters. I have to find appropriate weapons, runes and insigna for 80 new heroes.

I will have to buy another character slot for another mule. I almost emptied an existing mule with my giveaway threads, but now he won't be enough storage, never mind replacing him with a playable character.

I want ANet to know that I raised 5 kids without the financial problems I have in GW with my heroes.

im trying to get the normal mode defender titles for all 3 continents, then ill try for the hard mode defender title for tyria, then ill finish off the tyrian cartographer so that ill be kind of a big deal.

after that ill try to make more money so that i can cap more elite skills.

well on my monk i have a few

• gain 100% tyria (currently 87%)
  capture all cantan skills, im on about 60
  completet elona and NF
  cap all nf moves, currently on 30 odd
  will give me koabd title

I'd like to get Legendary Guardian and Vanquisher, but at the rate it's going I'm not too sure it's going to happen. HM has been really frustrating for me lately, so we'll see what the big update that's supposed to be coming gives.

few things i gonna try to get done:

- Become a non-retarded trader
- Cap All Ele Elite skills, or at least all the ones i think are worth capping
- Learn to be a semi competant PVP player
- Kickstart my current guild into doing more stuff together
- Max out my storage money so i can buy plenty of new armors/items from EotN and buy plenty of cap sig's for it. And cos i jus wanna get the satisfaction of having done it (yeah that sounds lame)

Hope it comes soon though, plenty of experienced players i know are dropping off into inactivity as the wait goes along.

Any news of it being early or late autumn? Even though it'll probs be late whatever lol.

Absolutely nothing... it's not like there won't be a giant span of time after GW:EN and before GW2.

i want to finish all 10 characters (1 of each class) on all 3 campaigns with at least 1 mil xp each, all elites, and at least 1 protector title for each. at least r6 or 9. max sunspear and lightbringer on some of my primary chars (ranger, war, ele) the main reason i want r6 or 9 or so is for the sake of expanded balth faction i can hold so i can unlock a bunch of GW:EN skills on the day it releases. as of right now i have my ranger, war, monk, ele, and necro completed with all those pre-requisits. working on my mes right now which is the hardest thing EVAR! next will be my assassin, rit, derv, then para. problem is im hooked on WoW atm. BUT HEY at least i have GW:EN reserved already ^_^

As for updates I want the good old GW back.

I used to go out with my 3 heroes and 4 henchmen every day to kill stuff randomly.. not really farm.. just kill stuff, complete quests.. open chests whatever... and make decent amounts of gold to supply my growing needs.

But I feel now that Hard Mode ruined Normal Mode for even players of low level, it's impossible that i'll be able to achieve any monatery goals in time for GW:EN's new armor sets.

So I will find me a solo farmer build and maybe try that **** out, even if I'm strongly against it. Seems the only way to make money is to play the Hard Mode, which I really can't enjoy atm.

To me, Hard Mode is like a slap in the face. I want to be able to kill stuff in normal mode and get rewarded for it, just like the good ol days when I fell in love with GW. You know a few white drops here and there was money for me, not my NPC hench and heroes. Now I have to kill on average 20 monsters to get a white drop in the skill level I prefer playing.

So for GW:EN, which is more professional player/farmer based I feel my GW days are numbered. I anticipate GW2. But if the loot system is the same until then I won't make it.

this comes from a loyal and true fan that played over 2400 hours of GW in past 14 months.

I've had all 3 Protector titles for a while. Gotta work on the Guardians. Once that's done I need to do the Vanquishing titles. Before those though comes Legendary Cartographer. I've got Cantha and Elona, but the vast expanses of Tyria are looming in front of me. I've got Ascalon done, but am only at about 50% so far. There are still alot of walls I need to scrape in Tyria. If I manage to make that before GW:EN I'll be happy.

I agree with the character issue. I made my main character two years ago, and I don't particulary like his appearence anymore, but I've accomplished far too much with him to just delete and restart. I know it's been said time and time again, but we really need to be able to re-edit our characters. I'd really love to be able to use some of those awesome Factions faces, that weren't available when I first started playing.

But I still have plenty I'm trying to do in the game right now. I'm trying to save up for the Elite Templar armour, the Knights armour was always my favourite set, I'm very glad they finally added a 15k version. My brother just started playing the game recently too, so I've been helping him through Prophecies with my new Ranger character.

Have 11 maxed titles, want to

Max Sunspear and Lightbringer next, at 40,000 and 21,000 respectively
Increase Wisdom and Treasure Hunter, Both on level 2, but not going up fast
Complete the Vanquisher and Guardian Title tracks, though these are slow

Ritualist

Only 3 months old, has 3 maxed titles, want to max as much as possible
At mo chasing 3rd cartographer title, while also doing Protector of Tyria
Need to Master Gayla Hatchery to get Protector
Need to do last 3 missions in Elona to get Protector
Need to Vanquish lots and Guardian a lot too
Due to non account wide Wisdom and Treasure I'm not persuing these yet
Need to Capture all the elites, only completed the ritualist set so far

I would also like to increase my PvP titles, I need 32 Fame to get R3, I'm at about 300,000 faction for Kurzick and 40,000 for Luxon, Gladiator sucks at 9, and Commander is at about 40. Lucky is about 150,000 and unlucky is just shy of 10,000. These are the titles i chase on and off but would like to do more when i get the PvE ones

Once i Have them then i will move onto the next 8 charcters
