The H&N test - Results are in!
Mr. G
First off a big thanks to all that sat the H&N test - Part 2, as the original thread is getting a bit crowded (and answers are still comming in) I thought id post the results here - so you can see the dastly deeds of your Co-posters!
Results are in!
Ive taken the 1st 50 answers and calculated to nicity of the people here
Here they be:
Does your firend get a free Key?
Aparently 34 of you (or 68%) would kindly give your friend a key (D)
Does a stranger get a free key?
Sadly this poor stanger isnt as popular as your friend with a whopping 74% (!) of you refusing his plea or feigning ignorance! (A)
Does the newbie get scammed?
Im happy to say that over 1/2 (58%) of you would inform him of the real price (D), as long as he doesnt meet the 2% of you that would undercut his 100g!(A)
Do you make a quick buck?
It seems not only you but the friends of 52% of you would find out about this gem (B). That is if the 20% dont tell first (C)
Leave aunt sophie on her deathbed?
Only 20% of you would actually spend an entire weekend with her (D), while 40% of you would skip a day for the mask. 20% wouldnt see her at all!

Kinda nice result, much nicer than I thought

I am not doubting the results but remember that a lot of people say one thing and do another.

I also used to whisper quitters in RA "Don't play in RA if you're gonna leave" but the amount of people that would leave a match is overwhelming...
Smile Like Umean It
I think when you first start to get into the game you're a lot more helping and patience, but after seeing so many people get shafted and the assholes who've done it brag about it or people in town spamming racial/sexist/perverted crap in local and worse yet when they're in your team. Don't forget about those people running builds that actually hurt your team composition and refuse to change or say they do, but really don't.
When I first started playing I would never leave a group. Even if it was pretty much impossible or other teammates were being aggravating. As long as another player was willing to give it a try I'd stay with them and tough it out.
When I finally gave in and made a monk I'd go out of my way to help people. Even doing missions like THK back to back so they could finally get through.
Now though? The only time I pug is when my guildies are busy, it's something I really need or doing places like FoW because I'm bored. I still will redo missions if my teammates (the nice or even just quiet ones) asked for help for another character and I have the time.
But, when I get noobs (I very rarely, if ever use this word as an insult, but it fits) who insist on running around without the team, using filthy language, bad mouthing everyone and their mother, I'll give a warning. I don't care if my character is expendable or one of the most important, you do it twice more and I will leave.
Map writing is a different story. You get one and only one waring. I've seen far too many crooked penises and swastikas to give anyone leeway for that. I don't even tolerate when my guildies do it to joke around.
So, the way I play with people has definitely changed now. I'm still a nice and helpful person, but my tolerance for the bad ones has slowly but surely whittled down.
BTW, do you happen to have a link to your other thread?

Bah... niceness gets crapped on in the long run. Two days ago a level 9 warrior is in Ascalon asking for a gold sword to buy. I have a spare... a req 9 Cruel Fanged sword of Enchanting, 15^50, 20% in storage... so rather than haggle a price I just gave it to him. Seemed real appreciative, I felt good about it.
Last night... I get an accidental PM from the guy.
Selling Req 9 Cruel Fanged Sword of Enchanting, 15^50, very nice Nightfall skin! 70K.
So... I respond to the guy... you're selling the sword I gave you? "No, I'd never do that! I'm going to keep it forever!"
o.O
Sometimes our species really disappoints me.

In the quiz, it was stated that your Aunt is "sick." When myself and my roommate looked at it (as a few other posters did as well), we took it as "sick," not deathly ill.
Like the flu.
In the results, it is mentioned that she's on her deathbed though, an entirely different situation.
People get sick, it's a fact of life. I don't rush to the side of everyone who coughs or sneezes. If they are in a special situation, or otherwise debilitated from said sickness, then yes, I'll probably lend a hand to help out.
But I'm not missing work, because my aunt has a stuffy nose and coughed a few times.
Though, if someone is on their deathbed, that is a very different matter. Before my father died, all my relatives within the same city came, his brothers and one sister (the other is very ill herself) even stayed by his side, night and day for the week prior to his death.
Wording is a fine point, that can make a huge difference. Perhaps that's why we saw some of the votes in the fashion we did. (Don't take this as a knock against the overall quiz, I enjoyed reading it and was interested to see the results.)

I like the result! We need a evil test!!

That is why I never give out good gold drops. I always handed out purple or blue to noobies!
Mr. G

kriswish
I took sick as ill only also. whoops.
I also want an EVIL quiz - put it up!

I pretty much only give free gold drops to guildies and alliance members these days for pretty much the same reasons.
