Tomb of Primeval Kings..can you hero it?
Government Flu
Hi guys. As the title suggests, is it possible to solo ToPK without another human player? If so, which henchmen and hero builds should I use?
I'm a warrior, by the way. Thanks in advance for any info or advice!

Hmmmm... a vengful W/Rt might be able to pulll it off, or at least get past the first level. The build for it is on wiki. I don't know if heros would be too big of a help (not a real big fan of henchies and heros) I think they are worthless.
But if you can find a build that would work then more power to ya!

Ever since seeing someone do this on GWGuru (with a standard B/P build) I've been anxious to see if I could. I tried maybe 6 or 7 times over the last 2-3 months and never made it past the early 2nd floor. It wasn't always pretty, but I managed to get it done tonight. Here's the team build I used:
Me: R/Rt
1 Beast, 8 Exp, 5 Wilderness, 16 Marks, 10 Channeling
Splinter Weapon, Barrage, Savage Shot, Throw Dirt, Troll Unguent, Comfort Animal, Charm Animal, Flesh of My Flesh
TEMPLATE: OggkcdYUGLqCGvYqGq5b02mdxA
Acolyte Jin: R/Rt
1 Beast, 6 Exp, 9 Wilderness, 16 Marks, 9 Channeling
Winnowing, Splinter Weapon, Barrage, Savage Shot, Troll Unguent, Comfort Animal, Charm Animal, Flesh of My Flesh
TEMPLATE: OggkcVYYGLmyzhxLmq5b02mdxA
Magrid The Sly: R/Rt
1 Beast, 8 Exp, 5 Wilderness, 16 Marks, 10 Channeling
Favorable Winds, Splinter Weapon, Barrage, Savage Shot, Troll Unguent, Comfort Animal, Charm Animal, Flesh of My Flesh
TEMPLATE: OggkcdYUGLqC2hxLmq5b02mdxA
Olias: N/Mo
16 Death Magic, 10 Soul Reaping, 10 Curses
Animate Shambling Horror, Animate Bone Minions, Jagged Bones, Barbs (disabled), Mark of Pain, Signet of Lost Souls, Blood of The Master, Rebirth
TEMPLATE: OANDUslXOH1qwStMYJqq4BZC
2 Heal Hench, 2 Fire Hench
Notes of interest:
*For some reason, Magrid refused to cast FW most of the time, I had to do it for her.
*Dryders are priority #1. Henchmen like to bathe in Meteor Showers, especially if you have them flagged. Call them as a target, and keep your finger on Savage for when you see MS being cast. Don't count on hench doing it for you, although they might.
*If you feel like you're on the verge of a wipe, flag your heroes to fall waay back and head there yourself. Turn around and call target on your closest follower, if you think you can take them. If not, lose aggro and start rezzing.
*If you know you're heading into a big fight, cast SW on your pet and have your heroes do the same to theirs. Wait for SW to recharge, cast it on yourself, and let a Barrage fly. The first hit can be huge if you get them before they break up. Run back to your party hitting CTRL-SHIFT-SPACE to get them to attack without stopping yourself.
*Flag your heroes frequently. If you hit an unexpected popup, you can run back to the safety of your minion frontline and your heroes won't erupt into chaos, grab unwanted aggro, etc.
*Good luck! There were at least 3 times I just KNEW I was gonna wipe, and 1 time I was the only survivor. Don't hesitate to run, and if you want your heroes to run too, flag them, don't just expect them to follow you. Pets and minions rarely listen, but better them than you.

My Grandma
I was able to Hero/Hench tombs on my Dervish a few times now.
I used:
Margid with nightmare weapon/barrage/winter
Master of Whispers Jagged Bomber
General Morgan all sorts of support shouts
Two healer henchies and Two ele henchies.
Aura of Thorns is great to round up Grasps and keep them in AoE, Winter is really handy to negate Rodgorts and minions are an awesome wall. Heroes are incredibly and meticulous at making minion bombs and jagged bones, I walked away from my tombs party for 15 minutes and when I came back there was still a 10 minion strong army standing around my party.
Flag your party often and learn where the pop-ups are. I honestly think the hardest part of the tombs run is Scorched Earth, once you get that down the rest is cake.

I'm a warrior, by the way. Thanks in advance for any info or advice! You cant solo the tombs with your warrior, for that you need an ele or assassin, i do it with my assassin and can choose between 2 builds, daggers or massive AoE earth damage, both work good.
The dagger build is right here:

I did it once with a build similar to Neurotox's. I've also made about 3/4 of the way with a Dervish (didn't die, had real live intervene - do not know if I would have made it for sure).
I've since decided the real question is "why?". At least, to do once so you can say "I did it" was nice, though realize most will simply not believe you if you are looking for community accolades. but after that it is tedium and takes *hours* for no real rewards.
If you are looking for rewards and gold, go someplace else. If you want to for personal satisfaction I mostly looked to ToPK guides and built from there. The easiest is what I refer to as my "mini-b/p" team - really wish I could have one more hero and an orders necro, but ah well. Again, pretty much what Neurotox posted, though I used a /mo secondary for rebirth (it saved me on a few occasions - if careful you can even control the heroes use of it with flags and the hero controls),
For my Dervish I still used the base "b/p" team I just used me (the Dervish), two b/p rangers, Olias as a MM, two monks, and two something else (IIRC ele hench). It *should* work with a warrior, it just take VERY careful pulling, lots of flagging the hench/heroes, and lots and lots and lots of patience (run forwards once and you most likely end up with a a party wipe). This is MUCH harder with a melee character as you *really* need to be up front to control the hench/hero well.
Expect anywhere up to four or five hours to complete with *any* hero/hench party, longer if you are a "bad" profession for the area. And then they will most likely get the good greens at the end (I suppose they figure if they got you there they deserve it - right ).

i was bored and wanted a challenge and found this thread, so i gave it a go, its really easy i did it in my first attempt with the following build (see screen for build). took just under 2hours!, this shouldnt take 4/5 hours!! you jsut need to know the enemy pve mechanics and its easy, careful aggro does it, you cant wipe if you progress 1 group at a time, as u can always retreat. only prob i had was that my necro was on attack instead of guard so it took 60 dp very quickly. but it was still easy.
