I don't think this behaviour should be encouraged, your game bugs me when i play more than 1 hour and this is the best player in gw for anet. Beign all day online is not something to encourage. Nothing vs Java, i just think a mmorpg should encourage fairplay and cooperation more than this.

XD. A-net think people care what this guys daily routine is O_o. Anyway i agree with you to an extent. "If you play 24/7 you get a friggn long article on you on the website" seems weird eh? :P espically with the "please take a break" things.

It sounded more like a joke, but I'm sure many people just eat, sleep, and play video games. I could not do that. I don't like how ArenaNet encourages his type of play, even though they only show how he plays through the mention of SP. I fought him in HB during the ATS testing, he used the gimmick A/W;N/Rt;N/Rt;Rt/Me spirit spamming. He wasn't very friendly, either. He had Rose of Izzy(?) pm me when I used the run cheat, and wouldn't talk.

heh my post in itself was completely neutral. it could mean good or bad.
but really, notice it didn't say all PvP people, there are some good ones. just the average kind of PvP person you come across. average PvE people have faults too, but they're different faults. this guy is an example of the average pvp guy, and I simply pointed that out. The main thing is the watching CNN to get mad at the world before playing, something the average PvP person must do, with how much trashtalk and negative stuff they do.

Also, if any ANET folks are scanning these forums (they claim to), how's this for a potential interviewee -

I've taught Guild Wars in a college English class. It was the focus of a lecture I gave on narrative in graphic arts. A few students were players too, though I didn't know that until a few days before the class. We even met up in the game once (an odd experience, akin to a professor in the 1950s meeting students in a bar). I myself have been playing for almost 2 years now, mostly PvE.

I'm totally indifferent to this, I don;t pay much attention to the Guild Ladder never mind the Hero Ladder. Read it as it was the first, and while I'm sure that the article was not 100% serious being someone that tends to play a good part of the day, inbetween eating, studying, mucking about with the kids and wife, even if it was all 100% accurate it doens't bother me, I don't think it makes someone a bad person if they do play 24/7.

Like many thing swith the game info its not necessary to do this, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't do it.

Now, I don't have much of anything against most PvE'ers... I just despise ones like the one quoted who lack a sense of humor, and take every opportunity to take a jab at PvP.

If all further player profiles will be like this, who is going to read this shit???

I did not think it was funny, it was not interesting... do we really want to know what other people do in their real life right before they switch on their laptop and play GW???

Especially if this real life seems is so extraordinarily normal that it could be used as a tranquilizer.

IMO: Rather let Jeff Strain and Mike O'Brian or someone else talk about GW. Start a series about "your favorite tree in GW" or whatever, even this is better than this player profile.
