I want to use faction points for jaedite shards, but I also want to help my guild gain faction. So this may be a stupid question, but if I "transfer" faction to my guild to increase their standing, do I still get to keep those points to use for getting Jaedite shards?
Normally, I wouldn't even ask this question becuase it sounds so dumb, but I have noticed that in my guild, the amount of faction we have fluctuates. If once faction is transferred, it cannot be used, then how is it possible for the amount of faction our guild has to go down? It would seem like it would only go up.
Noob question...Do I keep "transferred" faction?

No, factions is used in both cases and cannot be used again. Amount of faction your guild has degenerates itself over time, so you have to keep farming

your guild isn't losing the faction b\c someone is spending it if thats what you're saying. It just goes down a certain % every day so you keep farming, like Niila said.

Thank you both! I did not know this, and it explains it perfectly. I read everything in could on the wiki about faction, but didn't read this anywhere. Maybe I was looking in the wrong place...
