Noob R/W Build Need Help

First, I'd like to introduce myself.
I'm a long-time suffering MMO and finally made the plunge to GW when I saw Nightfall with a 50% off sticker at a local Gamestop.
How could I go wrong?
I came here from WoW, my most recent MMO, where I hit 60 and got quickly bored with it.
Anywho, GW has kept me entertained, and the monthly fee is just perfect for my just out of college budget.

Anyway, onto my build.
Right now I'm running a R/P, and I've not even attempted PvP yet, so it's strictly PvE for the time being.
However, I want to switch up my build. I don't want to start over a character, I'd rather just try to modify what I've got.
Here what I'm thinking.

[skill]Dismember[/skill][skill]Axe Rake[/skill][skill]Agonizing Chop[/skill][skill]Rampage as One[/skill][skill]Throw Dirt[/skill][skill]Disrupting Lunge[/skill][skill]Comfort Animal[/skill][skill]Charm Animal[/skill]

I'm not exactly married to the idea of using a pet, but since it will help interrupt, it will be useful. I understand that the lack of Troll Unguent leaves me pretty much without a heal. Also, I'm not sure the axe combo is the best one out there. My main problem is I only have Nightfall now, so my options are limited. Anyway, any advice that one can give will surely be taken under consideration. Thanks for reading this.

You can't use Rampage as One and Decapitate in the same build.

Shows how much I know.
Thanks for pointing that out.
Should be edited to show Dismember instead.

ehh, i dont like thumpers in PvE. I would grab a bow and get to the destruction. 16 marksmanship will get you alot more damage than that axe. RaO is mostly to expensive after the nerf.

The point of using a weapon of your secondary for a ranger is generally expertise. Expertise reduces the cost of attack skills and let you spam expensive attack skills, more than a warrior could do for example. However, in this build, you use adrenaline attack skills - you don't do any better than a warrior then.

Now you have RaO, which a warrior can't have (not enough energy). However, warriors already have a few nice IASes you can use, leaving a slot free for an elite.

That's not orginal but you should try with a hammer and Irresistible Blow if you want to use a melee weapon.
