Newbie With End of Prophecies Question
Meritis
Hi, I couldn't find a better forum to post in, so I decided to post in this one.
I was wondering, is there an end to Guild Wars Prophecies? I'm Level 14 and still in Beacon's Perch (yeah, still beginning of the game but I take my time)
I was wondering, what's the last mission? Is there like some uber-hard boss you have to face?
I've always been playing RPG games, and the thrill of fighting some 100 foot high monster with spells and healers has always been amazingly fun. The lack of it in Guild Wars was disappointing, and World of Warcraft might not have it either (but it probably does because I saw some flying monster in a cave that was enormous).
Anyway, sorry for the lack of terms or whatever.

Yes, there is a boss eventually, but you have a long way to go still. By the time you do hit level 20, you'll still be less than halfway to finishing the game, by all accounts. After you get through the northern shiverpeaks (where you are now), you'll go through kryta, the jungle, the desert, the southern shiverpeaks, and then the fire islands, or whatever they're called. The last mission at those islands has you facing a final boss, although he isn't 100 feet tall.

i dont like to give spoilers, but yes there is an uber boss, well sort of, and no it isnt a giant, buts its taller than you
Meritis
Lol, thanks. Is he hard though? O.o;
Minwanabi
No, he isn't particularly hard. Generally speaking, the missions just prior to the boss will be harder in terms of time taken and risk involved, but it's still a fun fight.

Do you want to know or not? Kinda dumb asking what happens if you don't want to know.

The funny thing about prophecies is that the hardest boss isn't the end-boss, but the 3/4 of the way through boss. It's a boss you don't have to defeat in order to progress in the game, just for the bonus, and most groups just can't do it. The 3/4 of the way through boss is pretty big.

if you want to fight Glint Mertis you'll have to do the bonus for a mission called Dragons Lair. you have a long way to go, if you are doing all quests and missions in a row. so take your time and enjoy the environment and gameplay.

besides, its not the destination that counts, but the journey and how you get there

What about good 'ol rotscale?
mazey vorstagg
Now Rotscale is silly, he must have more health than Glint + Lich +Shiro+ Kuuna + Abbadon+ Malyxx
I'd tried the other day and my 118 damage spike was barely noticable
