Question on Dunes of Despair

Ok I am trying to get the bonus on this mission. I have had one of the hardest times with doing it in the 10 minute timer. I get to one or two guys left when the timer is done. I am wondering if I use a hero to Necrotic Traversal and then kill and rebirth my whole group of heroes over the channel to kill all the generals and there groups. Is that all that is needed to getting credit for bonus? Or do you have to finish the whole mission for the credit on the bonus?

Unlike the other 2 campaigns, you don't need to complete the mission to get the bonus. If you are able to kill the generals in the time alotted, you will get the bonus. You can leave the mission after the sword and shield appear (which happens before the mission is completed).
