Greetings, I posted this build on another site, but didn't receive much feedback. I'm hoping the player base here will be able to help me in my support build.

-Usage-
  • Prep Empowerment, Ghostly Haste, Air Attunement, Attuned Was Songkai. Target enemy in group and cast Blinding Flash. Target another enemy and cast Blinding Flash. Reapply Blinding Flash as need be.
    This is great for constantly blinding a certain enemy(ies), a Boss, or annoying the heck out of a melee/ranged person in PVP. You won't run into any energy problems as Attuned Was Songkai reduces energy cost of spells by 50% at this level. Thus, 50% x 15 energy cost of Blinding Flash = 6.5/7 energy loss; Air Attunement looks at the value of the base cost of energy being 30% of 15 = gain 4.5 energy + 1 energy from Air Attunement =5.5/6 energy gain.

    Overall, the spell is costing you only 1 energy to cast when the values are all calculated (according to my poor mathematics ). Further, the spell is recharging roughly 2 to 3 seconds depending on Weapon modifiers & Ghostly haste.

    Ghostly haste will aid in keeping up AwS, AA, and recharging Blinding Flash. Empowerment simply adds a bit of health and a nice +10 energy buff while in its area of effect (while holding an object, AwS). Gale is nice to knock down someone if you need to get attuned up or air attunement (kind of an 'Oh S#$!' Skill). I keep Wind Born Speed as well for those other 'Oh S@#!' moments.

    This is a great support build, but offers nothing in terms of heavy damage output or constant healing. It's geared primarily for melee/ranged damage mitigation purposes only.

    I've tried a similar build using a Rit/Me. Echoing out Blinding was Mingson can be effective for large groups, but there's no guarantee you can keep it up 100% of the time in contrast to the build i posted. However, using all your attribute points in restoration would allow you to create a build better suited for healing and some blindness (for damage mitigation purposes).

    It's a good concept, although your build is highly dependent on Empowerment as your only spirit. Because of its 30 second recharge, that makes you a relatively immobile caster.

    Consider putting 3 points into Channeling (4 with a minor rune) and using Destruction as your spirit...which frees you up every 15 seconds to make you more mobile.

    Kudos, OP... Very nice for a blindspam Rit...

    However, from a PvP perspective... This build merely accomplishes what a B-surge/Dual attunes air ele already does, except that the ele does it with less preperation, fewer skill slots, and can deal damage at the same time; so there'd be little reason to take this over an Air ele.
    Maybe Lightning Orb for the last slot?

    IMO take out gale and windborne for two nice damage skills (lightning orb+lightning strike). That way, you'd be helping kill the mob instead of just making it useless. I'd also take an additional spirit in optional slot like life or destruction to increase the mobility of this build and help with extra damage/healing. Life at 4 restoration magic provides a decent 60 heal party every 20 seconds, which helps out the monks a bit.

    It may be semi-viable in places like RA and AB or any of the Factions "PvP" areas, but a blinding surge ele is much preferred in forms of higher PvP where competition is more fierce.

    Thanks for all the replies everyone. After looking over the skills, you're definitely right regarding the dual attunement elementist. They have a distinct advantage clearly.

    I think dropping Gale and Adding +3(+1) Points into Restoration Magic and Taking Life would certainly be helpful. Also, the option slot would be better suited to take a skill like Spirit's Gift & Spirit to Flesh. This would add a little bit of healing to a close group of allies.

    I only play one character class (Ritualist) and need to adapt to other build forms. I hope other would be Ritualist will take the build and everyone's suggestions and make good use of it.

    Looks like a discount air ele in which attuned was whoever replaces elemental attunement.

    As an aside, you might actually get good use out of [skill]glimmering mark[/skill] on a channeling rit.
