The title says it all. Any of you farming gurus out there have any suggestions for builds to farm for tomes? I have a good Ele build for farming Warrior tomes from Hulking Stone Elementals outside of Sardelac Sanitarium and Ele tomes from Mergoyle Wavebreakers outside Gates of Kryta, but I would really like to get some viable ideas for builds to farm the other tomes, not to mention ideas for WHERE to farm for different tomes. I have the tri-fecta, BTW.....Prophecies, Nightfall, and Factions. Unfortunately, ATM, I have only completed Prophecies. So Hard Mode is a Prophecies only thing for now. At any rate, any and all help would be monumentally appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Charr Ahen Claws, you mean. I think they may be unfarmable, although don't quote me on that. Maybe a warrior or ranger using Melandru's Resilience could take them down...
Other then that, I don't really know any areas to farm necro tomes. Maybe a good quest to farm would be the one that makes all the Gnashers spawn? I believe it is called Seeking the Seer.

The best advise I have for you is: try to finish Factions and Nightfall as quickly as possible! Your HM farm spots will increase exponentially.
Then simply check out the popular and easy places that people keep talking about here on Guru.
For instance:
Insects and Howlers outside Yohlon Haven - tomes: W, P
Spiders outside Rihlon - tomes: R
Spiders and Termites on Plains of Jarin - tomes: W, R
Jade Brotherhood Knights outside Marketplace - tomes: W
Kirin and Dragon Moss in Pongmei Valley - tomes: N, E
Dragon Moss outside Shrine of Anjeka - tomes: E
Wardens outside Tanglewood Copse/Arborstone Explorable - tomes: R, W, Rt
Kappa outside Gyala Hatchery - tomes: E
Skales and Undead in Fahranur - tomes: D, W, N
Luxon Assassins in Boreas Sea Bed - tomes: A
Naga, Kappa and Mantids all over Shing Jea Island - tomes: Rt, E, Mo
All of these places may be farmed by a variety of professions (don't know about Mesmer though
), and the respective builds can be found among the popular threads here in the farming section.

Minos outside Ice Tooth Cave - tomes: W
Undead in Gates of Kryta (mission) and outside Bergen - tomes: R, Me, W, N

Rockshot Devourers in Thirsty River (mission) - tomes: R

Philo, thanks for all of the excellent information, especially listing what tomes drop from whom in certain areas. And I just finished getting all the skills, armor, and weapons I need for Dopefish's farming.
I already have a killer Ele build for farming Kappas, just need to finish, as you said, Nightfall and Factions now to open up more areas to farm for tomes.
