Make Hard Mode Green drops req 8.
Req 8 items are in the game already, they're just rare and over-expensive so I don't think it would unbalance anything. It would give people another reason to play in hard mode.
The req 9 green market seems to be about dead anyway, so it shouldn't upset the merchants either.

Currently you can get req 8s in all continents in pve, but they're expensive.
Making them available as greens would give those that don't want to pay for a Gold req 8, a cheaper alternative.
The whole idea behind greens and collectors was to make perfect items available at lower cost to players. Pay for skins, not stats, etc.
Moaning that pvp players can't make the full range of items available to pve players is a different problem. (although it does cut down on the 55 monks in HA )

PvP only players can't make req 8 weapons and well, that is unfair. Reworking it so that PvP only characters CAN would change the game significantly... now all my PvE character weapons are "outdated" and I have to get the new and improved req 8 versions? Which will be selling for like 500k+500 ecto for the first 6 months or so, until they are made to dirt?
IMO, req 8 max items should just be removed, not making them more common!

There is virtually no difference between a req 8 and a req 9 so, no.

Theres no point. If you're using a weapon, that weapons attribute should be well over 8 or 9.
I can see having a req 8 shield beneficial though, since sometimes one of the only reasons why I put 9 in an attribute is so I can use a shield.

/notsigned for the reason that it would unbalance PVP, req 8 and the insanly rare req 7 weapons should be changed to req 9 as the minimum(for a max stat weapon)! Keeps things balanced.

/notsigned for the unbalance reason as well. I rather Anet make those bosses on starter island in NF and factions drop max green in hardmode.

also a large number of bosses are easier to farm in hard mode to a certain extent (sliver amor etc), or at least certainly aint harder enough to qualify having a lower req. and as said before it'd unbalance pvp.

Nope... I think that req 8 weapons are more a glitch than a fact.
Most of them I got where inscribable offhand items.
But, like those weapons with 'weird' damage types... (healing staves with holy damage instead of fire) they are PvE only... an exception...
Green items, except shiro's daggers and 'toy' ones in the tutorial islands, are meant to have a fixed 9 req.
Hm... but it's true that their stats should be maxed for those 'toy' greens in Istan and Shing Jea. They keep dropping those almost useless greens.
Maybe giving them a bit different name and another color to prevent scams, then make them drop them istead the low end ones in hard mode.

I have no problem if you disagree with me, but your reasoning should at least make a little sense.
