I haven't found anything like this, so I think it's pretty unique. Now I'm pretty sure most of you are like "What the hell is he thinking about", but this build is clever actually.
The point of this build is to create a constant flow of healing. It takes the advantages of less used elite Symbols of Inspiration for energy management and Symbolic Celerity for faster cast of Signet of Pious Light.
This should be only used in PvE, though I don't have a PvE mesmer so I haven't been able to try this out.
Attributes:
Fast Casting :12+1+2/3, I don't know FC's breakpoints
Earth Prayers: 12
Skills:
[skill]Symbols of Inspiration[/skill][skill]Symbolic Celerity[/skill][skill]Signet of Pious Light[/skill][skill]Vital Boon[/skill][skill]Armor of Sanctity[/skill][skill]Fleeting stability[/skill][skill]Staggering force[/skill] 8th slot is optional, but res signet should be there.
So, playing this build is pretty simple. Try to maintain Symbols of Inspiration and Symbolic Celerity as much as possible. Use all of your 4 Dervish enchantments and start healing allies with Pious Light. Reapply the enchantments when they end and have fun. ^^
I'm not a native English speaker so my grammar isn't perfect. If you spot any mistakes, feel free to remark me.

I saw a build similar to this one on GWO forums, I haven't tried it myself, but I think I should.
Fast Casting at 15 reduces casting time by half.
And by the way, your English is spot on.

^found the build you mentioned.
This seems to be the most up to date version, posted back in 4/11/06. It's obviously going to benefit a lot from fc affecting signets... in fact this could possibly deal some considerable aoe dps. Possibly a potential normal mode meleer solo farming build actually, with conviction+armor of sanctity+staggering force.
I don't know if I'm allowed to link to gwo directly? His posts, in order.

Symbols of Inspiration's Mystic Healer II (Me/De)
Fast Cast: 15
Earth Prayers: 10
Wind Prayers: 10
Symbols of Inspiration: For 18s, every sig used gives +10E
Symbolic Celerity: For 24s, every sig use activates 50% faster
Featherfoot Grace: For 18s, run 25% faster and Conditions on you expire 50% faster
Grenth's Fingers: Adjacent foes take -60 damage, in 36s enchant ends and adjacent foes are Crippled 8s
Mystic Healing: For each enchant worn, an ally gets +65 (never the same ally twice)
Signet of Pious Light: Lose an enchant and if one is stripped it instantly recharges, ally gets +90 HP
Mirage Cloak: For 12s evade 50% of physical attacks, -2E a whiff
Rez -or- Mystic Twister: +93 damage to each foe per enchant on you
Bring max energy armor, and use a Fast Cast staff with +20% enchant mod (I have 57 max energy with it)
AlOCwqqr6wd3pCAeq5W/Wdvv

Now my SoPLs does a +90 heal instead of +48 heal. The switch for the 15E Mirage Cloak doesn't hurt because I only use it after I SoPL my enchants. It serves as a great protector while I wait for my elite to recharge which also regens the 15E.
Before I re-enchant with everything I can SoPL my Mirage Cloak, so it's an extra heal for 90HP that wasn't present before. On one teammate, after the Mystic Heal spam, I can spike heal teammates or one ally with +360HP of SoPLs, plus another one just before I re-enchant (+450 heal total!). This version is working great now, and I am still adjusting things as I play.
Oh, the code is now in the build descript for whoever wants to cut and paste it into their template file.

AlKCAvyDAAAAAAA7UeK3V/C ======================================= Mirage Cloak may be 15E, but it has a .125s cast time (with high FC points) and a 0s recharge! This works amazingly well with SoPL, which is also a 0s recharge when it removes an enchant like Mirage Cloak (plus SoPL is a .5s cast with Symbolic Celerity). What makes it work out is that because of the elite SoI up the entire time, you get +11E of that -15E cost everytime you strip that enchant. It is possible to cast each of these in 1.5s non-stop, back and forth as long as your energy supports it. So in a nutshell, cast the three enchants on yourself (all cast under a second each), and then alternate between SoPL and MC over and over which heals for +102 HP and returns +11E after the -15E cost. When you do this seven times, the first two enchants are nearly done. Simply SoPL both of them (two more +102 HP, +11E bonuses) for a total nine direct heals of SoPL over 16s. The max net healing possible is +918 HP in 16s costing a net 0E! That's a heal rate of over +53 HP per second, which is definitely significant. Especially when you consider that you have 100% of your energy when you are done. Of course the stats are skewed to show the max possible, but the setup of L15 Fast Cast and L10 Earth Prayers allows for a L10 or L11 line of something else, like my original build above. In that build, I can now choose my priority. I either spam Mystic Healing for my team (which can be done any where on the radar), and at anytime I can switch to spike healing one ally (or myself) with Mirage Cloak->SoPL spam. Either way I am providing a good service to the team, especially if I am supporting their own self heal (or am being the secondary healer with a Monk). The only negative about the setup is that SoI has to recharge for 10s - 12s, so it's not always wise to use it each time it is ready... only when the team is losing a noticeable amount of health. What I need is a good filler heal to use during that down time, but I can't use Imbue Health because it's in Mysticism. I will try L3 Illu for Sympathetic Visage. I can cast that on an ally under assault and it lasts 12s (with 20% enchant mod) so I can re-enchant and get back to healing. It's not perfect, but it's something. 360??
Looks like I wasn't the first one discover it, which I didn't expect anyways.

Any comparisons on how this build fares against say, a healing prayers monk or a restoration rit? It might be the new PvE trend to use mesmer healers now
ACreator
naaaa. it does not have condition or hex removal.
U could proly use another monk with that and this as a pure healing though.... Welll going to have some RA fun xD Redfeather1975

I've been playing with it and tweaking here and there since Arredondo first posted his version on GWO.
I found it has excellent survivability ridiculous e-management but it only deals straight healing it has a downtime window and can be REALLY hectic to manage sometimes! Div

Yeah, I've been playing around with it in places in RA and AB and it seems pretty good. Because only around 5-6 skills are key to the build, I've tested with different stuff like shatter hex, mystic regeneration, etc. and found it to give very nice survivability as well as hex removal. In fact, shatter hex gives better removal because of the 10 sec recharge than smite hex (or any other 12 sec recharge removal). Power return makes it a very nice addition on an RA mesmer healer too because of very high fast casting. |
