Heart or Mind: does it matter which one you do?

I am hoping not to miss something important - like I did by missing my chance to cap "song of restoration". Does it matter which of the two "Heart or Mind" quests I do?

No. You can always go back and do the other one after you pass the game. The same is true of the other story branches as well.

Doesnt matter. Iv always(except once) done heart. I guess i think its ezier

what happens if you fail both missions?

You can't really fail them in the sense that you can't permanently stuff up your progress or anything like that. Failing a quest just means that you need to do it again.

Also, as it states in the wiki page* you can take both and play do both branches of the storyline.
