we Chinese won't play the best game--GW after June 20!!

the server of CNC will be closed on June 20.
we are angry&sad.
i can do nothing but to wait....
but what do i wait for?

can the server be open again?

can we play the game in china again?

or we chinese on CNC have no rights to play the game?

what a pity!

what should we do??

China has two isp

one is CT,almost in the south
the other is CNC,almost in the north

and,the captial of China--Beijing is in the north~
that means half of us wouldn't play the game..

IF the ISP server is going down, than that is a problem with the ISP, not GuildWars.

(GW) CNC regional official, after the closure of all district Netcom big game information will not be preserved, Players can choose to activate (GW) Telecom District game. More (GW) activities concerned officials requested network.

Are you trying to say the GW Chinese servers are going down?

If it is, this is the first I'm hearing of it and you have my sympathy.

the chinese servers are going down, because if i understand this right, the testing phase is over, and soon they are going to open real/good servers, once those servers go live, they'll be able to re-activate their accounts or something similar to that.

But i don't know why they don't close the CT(China Telecom) but CNC(China Netcom) servers……

We Chinese hope to get together with the whole world....

China has go through the Internal Test ,now it's pubilc testing,but why the9city co.,ltd close our CNC server……（though players in CNC are less than CT)

i wish i could play the game again...

Commander Ryker, I don't think Chinese will be able to switch to the American server, due to Chinese law and the9 being in control of content etc.

I would suggest contacting Guild Wars (Anet) support. See what the official word is on the Chinese servers. I would hope that its just the testing phase that has been closed and not the entire game of Guild Wars.

Not sure how you can go about getting an American or European CD Key. Maybe if you knew someone that could get them and then have them send them to you by mail. Have any relatives anywhere but in China?

It's also possible that the servers (same as American, Euro, ...) in China are split across ISPs, not regions. And it's possible that only one provider will offer it. Such as only accessible to Verizon customers.

While this may seem strange, it's entirely possible due to different regulations or some other rules. These restrictions could be similar as to American/Euro players being unable to play on Taiwanese or Japanese servers (and vice-versa). Remember, China is a veeery big country.

And it would seem that OP only has access to the ISP that will not be supporting GW.

But it's really hard to understand, and everything could be just misunderstanding.

man, 我也是中国人，but when i heard this news, i shocked-_-! this is horrible, this is ridiculas, how dare the9 do such thing to chinese players! i really dont understand. i am been playing in US serve for alsmost 2 years now, and ive never heard anet closed any serve for NO reason. and yes, i have account in chinese server, and it is CNC, some of u might know my name: Not A noob Nurse, i enjoyed play with my ppl togather, and yes, they are great players, i was amazed when i saw em catch up the game so quickly. i am very very sad to hear the news, however we really cant do anyting bout it, we can only hope and wait.....
