Okay, I'm not so sure this is actually considered lag but here we go.
Whenever i warp to a new map, arena, city, etc. my computer gets to 100% in the blink of an eye... However, after it says "100%" it merely sits there for anywhere from 4-5 minutes.
I tried the posted defragmentation method and it didnt help this problem.
***NOTE: Once I load the map I have 0 lag***

What type of internet do you have (dialup it sounds like to me or a poorly connected wireless)
and your computer specs would be lovely ;P

Sounds like either your connection is just waiting to get synchronized with the server, or perhaps buffering for stream. Doesn't seem like lag at all.

Although it could just be down to you having a slow machine. I notice that you say you only have 384MB of RAM installed, I'm guessing that you have an onboard graphics solution which is eating 128MB as 512MB-128MB=384MB and if you're running XP too that's going to eat a lot of the remaining 384MB which will cause the game to be slow when loading.

Yeah, I agree with Azagoth - 384Meg is too little. I shudder, however, whenever anyone mentions e-Machines - they're so cheap, you may only have one RAM slot (and no AGP slot to upgrade the video). Best solution is to upgrade the RAM to 1gig - hopefully, the system has at least 2 RAM slots, with a 512Meg DIMM in one slot. If so, buy another 512Meg to match the one installed. If it has 2 256Meg DIMMS, you may need to buy 2 new 512meg DIMMS, unless it has more than 2 slots (not likely). If it only has one RAM slot, you'll need to get one 1Gig DIMM (if the system will accept it)
EDIT - I just Googled T6212 - the site I was on (not e-Machines), says it has 2 x 256Meg DIMMS in a dual channel setup. This means it should have 4 RAM slots. In that case you should get 2 more 256Meg DIMMS the same as the installed ones. (You should install the RAM in pairs to maintain the dual channel setup)

Definitely not 'internet lag'. Guild Wars has a strange way of handling RAM and can be a pain in the butt if you have less than 512mb IMO.
