Make sure a healer is one of those henchies. If you are dying, make sure to take as many henchmen as possible. i.e. If you are allowed 6, take 6. Also, learn to "pull", and run. If you see a large group of enemies, flag your henchmen somewhere far back from them, then go shoot one, and run back to your henchies. If you do it right, just a few monsters (not all of them) will follow you, away from the herd. This makes it easier to kill them a few at a time instead of getting overwhelmed. You'll need this skill throughout the game.
Also, make sure that you are putting your skill points into the appropriate skills, and bringing alons skills that are appropriate to what you are doing.

When I go over the bridge, there is no way to proceed, but looks like if I get down to the river, I could proceed there, but no, I cant get down.

You are an FPS game player, aren't you?

First, learn to click where you want to go, and let your player figure out how to get there. The WASD are fine for moving in small increments, but generally speaking you can click and go. Also, learn to use the Tab key to target things, whether they be enemies or people. Press tab until you see the enemy you want to attack, and then press the space key, and off you go. If you want to follow an NPC, target them, and press space. No nav keys neccessary.

Learn to use the ALT and CTRL keys. When you enter a new town, the first thing you should do is press ALT and look around for green words. You'll find everyone that matters. There is a distance limit, so in large town, you'll need to walk around with ALT held down. Holding down CTRL will show you the names of all the people, and in the wild, it will show you where the monsters are. These keys are your best friends. Try holding down CTRL and clicking things like your experience bar or health bar.

Also while fighting, my character turns, but the point of view does not, which makes me not see the monster anymore until I turn manually too.

No. Right click and drag, and get used to it

For what it is worth, you don't really need to see what you are attacking. In a fight, looking at the monster isn't going to help you. Look at the mini-map to see what other monsters are around you, and if you are in a group, if anyone is drawing lines to show you where to go or attack. Also, watch your message screen, to see if someone is suggesting a plan of attack. Watch your Party screen to see if a "T" shows up, which means someone is targeting a certain monster. Click on the T to target the same monster. Honestly, if you are looking at the monster in front of you, no wonder your dying fast - you need keep your eye on the battlefield, not the battle.

Don't sweat it so much. The best way to equip your characters is to find collectors selling the items you want, and then hunt down those items to get the best armor you can. Note that armor in GW is not like armor in other games. Each peice covers once part of your body, it does not give a total AC rating. As for weapons, again, the best ones are either found from enemies or collectors.

Yes and no. If you are still new - no. Do as many quests as you can. Quests will "give away" skills for free. GW does a good job of giving you the skills you need as you need them. Later on when cash isn't so tight, paying 1p for a skill isn't so bad, but for now you'll be wasting your money.
Finally, you didn't ask, but the best resource is the wikis. Check 'em out, they are just chock full of goodies. The unofficial wiki is more complete than the official one for now. I won't start a mission without reading the wiki FIRST. It will tell you what henchies to bring, what skills to equip, where to put your skill points, etc.
