I came up with two ideas a couple of weeks back and finally decided I'd actually put them forward. Before I delve into the details, I should point out I checked this forum extensively (including the Index of Ideas thread) to see if my ideas had already been suggested in any way/shape/form.
Apparently they weren't, so here goes.
Suggestion #1: Party Templates
There is already a suggestion with this name (found here) but, unless I am mistaken, my idea is different.
Basically, I frequently do quests/missions alone (i.e. without other players - as I'm sure many others do). I tend to use a particular combination of heroes and henchmen for the majority of those quests, but every time it comes to forming the party again (e.g. after re-logging) I have to manually go through the Heroes list and Search panel to add the ones I want.
So, my suggestion is this: add a "Party Templates" window whereby you can save a template of a particular party combination for future use, in the same way that we can currently save/manage Skill templates.
Suggestion #2: Website-Game Integration
Some might consider this unnecessary or disadvantageous, but I think it would prove useful to a lot of players (I asked around in-game about this and got some approval at least). Those who have ever played Neverwinter Nights 1/2 online are likely familiar with the Buddy list, which can be viewed from nwn.bioware.com by logging in with your game account - it displays your Friends list and, where applicable, it shows who is playing where (server IP).
I think it would be nice to have a similar feature on the official Guild Wars websites, whereby you can log on with your game account to view your friends list and guild roster as they would appear in-game. If anyone is wondering what benefit this would be; I, myself, sometimes only log on to play with a certain friend or guildie. It can be a pain to launch the game and log in just to check who is online, whereas it would be much easier to check via the website. And, of course, this would mean you could check who is online from work/college/school without needing the game.
Anyway, I should best leave it at that. Opinions are welcome, obviously.
