I'm working my way towards the Skill Hunter title, and I was wondering what is the hardest elite to capture?

hmm depend of your skill's lol.

but among the really weird to cap can be :

accoring to acces point and environement :

restore condition, greater conflagration,aura of the lich, panic,eviscerate,

according to boss it self difficulty : healer's boon,spirit ligh weapon, vengeful was khanei

according to both : caretaker's charge.

ofc if you have right setup its easy kill them all.but that's for a standart average player who often have problems and may have difficulties, so u be prepared.

but imo none is really impossible to do.wiki is your friend.

Given the right set of circumstances, none of them are hard. I've done most of my capping alone and only had a problem in a few areas.

The best thing to do is to go to wiki http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Elite_skills_listand look around. It lists all elites and locations.

Some of the caps in the ring of fire, and prophicies in general are difficult simply because the bosses don't always spawn, or don't spawn in the same location every time, etc.

I had a tough time getting Searing Flames because the boss kept wiping out my party while attempting to cap it

I found it's more challenging and takes the longest to cap in Prophecies. In most cases, I had the easiest time going out with heroes and henchies than I did going in PUGs.

Trying to cap the skills in Dragon's Lair in PUGs was especially trying because it seemed in most groups there were always the thoughtful players who would say "Wait until everyone who needs to has capped before moving on to the next room" and there was inevitably that one player who couldn't grasp the concept and would race to be the first through the portal, then when asked who went through the portal would say, "I did. That's a good thing, right?"

Would it be easier to cap Sandstorm from the Drought then? You just have to kill him before the droughtlings, and he's pretty easy to kill.

Non are "hard" but getting to the boss can be frustrating because like todhd said in Prophecies the bosses don't spawn in the same location all the time if at all. Also, todhd and anyone else wondering. To get [skill]searing flames[/skill] bring Norgu with a bunch of interrupts and [skill]migraine[/skill] or simply bring [skill]backfire[/skill] and watch him kill himself.

never got the ppl that say FoC is a pain to cap. takes just over an hour with a hero/hench team. yeah its a bit of a walk, but the mobs are easy pickings most of the way. and maw himself is a piece of cake. just make sure to start from the war camp. its a much shorter walk from there; you avoid a lot of snake dance.

The ones in mineral springs are almost on par with FoC, especially if the boss appears in the very last place you check >.>

Though the trick with FoC is for a friend to run you to the zone, and then it'll be easy killing

Fully agree with that. Although you can make life 'easier' by having the Defend Drognar quest active while going in for capping. Still annoying area though.

Not spawning/hard to get to:
1.
The bosses in Abbadon's Mouth are 'hard' to get to. And if you finally arrive there, your specific boss did not spawn...not funny.

2.
Perdition Rock: the wandering boss (Maxi Coldstone and that Obs Flesh dude). It takes some time to see which one spawned, because they walk around. Luckily Maxi leaves spirits behind, so he is a tad faster to recognise. Still, time consuming.

I've done Prophecies and am now on my way to my Faction title (need a couple of Ele, full Sin and Rt).
Prophecies was harder, because some bosses don't always spawn on the same location.
The skills in NF and Faction can be harder to get because bosses do more damage, but then the bosses are on fixed locations.
Me being Me/X does help when shutting down bosses

I'm not sure if I agree with FoC, since the walk there is not that hard with the right team build (heroes ftw), it just takes some time. Start from War Camp.
The boss is always there.
I'd say the more difficult are the 'random' bosses in the last 3 missions and on Perdition Rock, since you might have to get to a point several times to get the cap.

To me they are. 'Cos I think we talk about hardest cap, not coming to hardest cap. If we talk about coming to hardest cap then it should be skils in tormented areas.

I've had some trouble capping Sandstorm in the Desolation, because I did not bring interrupt, so the boss kept wiping my hero/hench team with the elite.

Well, With 60 dp I finally got it. But if you go for Sandstorm, bring some interrupts.

Minerals Spring elites are some of the hardest to cap.

Factions and Nightnight fall is easy.
50% of the skills in Prophecies taking 20+++ minutes each depending on spawn....
For FoC I say unlock it in PvP and buy a elite nerco tome .

I wouldnt say any of them are hard to get to be honest, just time consuming. Mainly the tryian ones when u have to spent 10 times entering and clearing the same zone to find the boss you want.

I would say Feast of Corruption: Waaay out there in Dreadnaught's Drift (only consistent spawn location) and if the silly green worm (Maw the Mountain Heart) manages to dive below ground just as he dies,- you can't cap the skill!
I tried some of the other spawn locations,- never could get the bugger to make an appearance!
Like Sophitia said: none of the skills are hard to cap,- just time consuming!

Some of the Realm of Torment bosses are hard due to patrols. In Domain of Fear especially there are those patrols of 3 to 4 Rains of Troment that can decimate the casters if they aren't watched closely. Exuro Flatus(Mind Blast) can be a pain due also to patrols. The ones in the Depths of Madess(Jagged Bones, Xinrae's Weapon, and Golden Skull Strike) are difficult due mainly to the length of time and amount of guys you gotta kill to get there.
