No. I'm not talking about the limit to how many characters we can create. I'm talking about the characters we're allowed to type in the chat box and use as character names...
I find it odd that if I live in Japan, my character can be called エアリス カーター OR Aeris Carter. Yet, if I live in America, my character can only be called Aeris Carter? Hmmm...
I can kinda understand the whole "you can't use certain characters in your home-district" thingy... Characters like ª, α, ß, ¢, δ, £, Σ, ε, ƒ, π, √, Ω, ∩, Φ, Θ, ¶, þ, φ, σ, §, †, ×, ¥, Æ, æ, ♪, ♀, ♂, √, ≡, ∞, ■, ▲, ▼, ☆, ★, and so many more... Because people could spam them to get other's attention.
But you can spam these in international districts? I don't see how that makes sense, tbh. But that's not what I'm "complaining" about. My complaint is: why are we limited to just English names?
If someone can give me a valid reason why American characters can only use English text while Oriental characters can use other types of text, then I'll withdraw my complaint. Thanks in advanced.
Character Limit: Unfortunate?

No. If you want to use other symbols when you create your characters name, change your home district when you create your character. Afterwards, change back to American if you want to play there (thus, if somebody is REALLY motivated to do this, they can, but it keeps all the idiots who just want to scribble garbage names from doing it).

However, considering this is just a thread based on a moderately selfish concept, I don't expect anything to happen soon (if at all) or anyone to be like, "Damn straight!" I was just making a point.

For lack of better wording. You get my drift.

A nifty thing I found out a couple days ago after you select someone.

The party search thing makes sense.
