help with installing

im new to gw and all and im trying to install it i cheacked the website but nothing there can help. when i go to install it it goes to connecting arenanet but never connects and ive left it there for an hour. my os is vista but i read that that shouldn't be a prob. what can i do?

what router or firewall/security programs are you using, and how are you connected to that router?
