I've just checked the recent additions of the new skills to Factions. And spotted the luxon/kurzick Warrior skill 'Save Yourself.'
"For 3...5 seconds, all other party members gain +100 armor."
This skill is unlinked to attributes only running off your allegiance rank through the amount of faction/title you have.
Now this made me think, what if you had Ranger/Warrior and you used Barrage elite. Let me explain further.

Gaining adrenaline means every adrenal skill in your bar gains that many points.'Save Yourself' Spammer?

* For every attack you make that hits, you gain 25 adrenaline points. Barrage potentially can hit up to 7 enemies, and we all know how many mobs and enemies there are in Factions! Activate a skill which makes you attack faster and gain double adrenaline from the warrior line of skills and you have potential to gain a lot of adrenaline very quickly.
So it's 25 adrenaline per hit. Let's say we only hit 2 enemies with Barrage. With a double adrenaline skill activated, you gain 100 adrenaline points = 4 strikes of adrenaline. So hitting 2 enemies twice in quick succession will give you 200 points = 8 strikes of adrenaline. Which is enough to cast 'Save Yourself!'
But you should be able to hit 2/4 enemies easily with Barrage and the amount of mobs in Factions. So with the double adrenaline skill, you should be able to spam 'Save Yourself' very frequently. +100 armor to all your teammates. Now that would be ownage.
Looking at 'Feigned Neutrality' from assassin skills which grants you +80 armor, this +80 armor means you will only take 1/4 of the damage affected by armor level. So I'm guessing as my maths are quite crappy that +100 armor would be near 1/5th of damage.
1/5th of damage protection spammed often!
Yes Rangers have good offence, but I'm more intrigued at making a support Ranger and I think Barrage, with double adrenline skills, then spamming Save Yourself, granting your party 100+ armor very frequently would rock.
Any thoughts on this?
Unfortunately I have no Ranger to test it out with, as I'm thinking of creating one and using this build. But wanted to get some feedback.

In a full Barrage/Pet group, this may be a legitamate combo, but I think for most practical purposes, a Paragon is the best character to utilize this skill.

there is not 1 skill that you can use that would double your adrenaline or that you can keep u forever except battle rage which happens to be an elite
EDIT:[skill]Dark Fury[/skill]would work but it would require a Necro that spams it quite often and at 17% sacrifice it would most likey be a 55 but it states in the skill they must be near by so he would have to be near all the rangers and they would have to be bunched up which would make them vunrible to AoE but who cares about that when they have +100 armor

Save yoruself is pretty decent on a barrage ranger.
The other ways to increase the adrenaline are:
-Focused anger + aggressive refrain (which means 4 strikes of spear or so)
-Mark of Fury (additional 1 strike per weapon strike)
-Dark Fury (additional 1 strike per weapon strike)
-Infuriating Heat (double adrenaline for all nonspirit creatures)
-Ferocious Strike (1 strike on hit, which isn't all too good)
-Battle Rage (double adrenaline but ends on non-attack-skill use)
-Auspicious Parry (unreliable)
-Enraging charge ( not enough for Save Yourselves)
-For great justice! (+50% more adrenaline)
So therefore I'd have to say a Paragon with Aggressive Refrain and Focused Anger will probably be the best option besides a barrage ranger.
A barrage ranger has to hit at least 4 foes in a span of 2 barrages to charge Save Yourself.
A Focused Anger aggressive refrain paragon has to hit 4 times.

You could also cast Balthazar's Spirit on yourself for adrenaline.

Adrenaline gain is capped at +100%. Also, focused anger is broken, as it does not give you adrenaline above 100%, even though at rank 16 it should give you 160%

@lifeinfusion
Focused Anger is elite which mean no barrage
@Age
Using balthazar's requires you getting hit A LOT so it wouldn't work

there's no need to bother with dark fury imo. I don't think n/x are capable on constant df+oop anyway, at least not without elite or external energy management. Take 2 r/w and you should be able to alternate for good to full coverage as long as they've got it at 4 seconds or more (rank 3).
Or just take a paragon. They're better than a monk for prot now and can do damage.
