After my Me/E Builds got nerfed I decided to take the challenge for a new mesmer build and came up with this:
Skills:
1. Shield of Absorption: For 3...6 seconds, damage received by target ally is reduced by 5 each time that ally is hit while under the effects of this enchantment.
2. Physical Resistance: Stance. For 30...78 seconds, You gain +40 armor against physical damage, but you lose 24...14 armor against elemental damage.
3. Illusionary Weaponry: For 30 seconds, you deal no damage in melee, but whenever you attack in melee, target foe takes 8...34 damage.
4. Sympathetic Visage: For 4...9 seconds, whenever target ally is hit by a melee attack, all adjacent foes lose all adrenaline and 3 Energy.
5. Ancestor's Visage: For 4...9 seconds, whenever target ally is hit by a melee attack, all adjacent foes lose all adrenaline and 3 Energy.
6. Illusion of Haste: For 5...10 seconds you are no longer Crippled, and you move 33% faster. When Illusion of Haste ends, you become Crippled for 15 seconds.
7. Vigorous Spirit: For 30 seconds, each time target ally attacks or casts a Spell, that ally is healed for 5...17 Health.
8. Balthazar's Spirit: While you maintain this Enchantment, target ally gains adrenaline and Energy after taking damage. (The amount of adrenaline gained increases depending on your rank in Smiting Prayers.)
Note: Batlhazar's Spirit can't be replaced with essence bond, since you won't get any energy if you take 0 Dmg
Attributes:
Illusion: 11 + 3 + 1
Healing: 10
Protection: 10
Insp: The left points not 100% sure now...
Equipment:
Needed:
Scythe:
+5 Energy
20% longer Enchantments
Optional
Sword/Axe
+5 Energy
20% longer Enchantments
A Stance or an Enchantment Shield.
The Armor isn`t important, you can do it with every insignia.
I recommand an Armor with +RS while enchanted. Since i haven't used that one it is possible without it.
Ok, this was boring theory now we come to the exciting part
Cast Balth. Spirit on you and get the quest from the ghost.
Then lure one group of Graspings with illusion of haste as you might/should have already done with other Builds.
Use the Stance and SV/AV to drain their energy.
If you're only fighting against 3 Graspings Vig. Spirit should be enough to keep your life up.
If not cast the Shield to get 0 dmg for a few secs.
Then run to the Smites....
Be careful with dying nightmares.
Illusion of Haste can be really frustrating if they strip it.
Smites are harder...
Use the stance cast IW, Vig. Spirit and SV and lure them. Always use the Shield when it'S available and try to attack as much as you can to keep up your health. I recommand casting while the shield is up.
Groups of 3 and 4 are easy to kill.
When fighting against 5 your life might get down to 200-100hp but don't give up.
After the first one dies your health will constantly rise up again.
I don't have any more Screens atm.
Maybe I can do some later.
i'll be in holidays tomorrow for 2 weeks so don't be angry if i don't answer your questions.
Maybe i'll make a video of this when i come back
