An Official GW Polling Device
Melkorium
Well, Andrew made a lengthy post today about how the opinions voiced on forums may not be the opinions of the majority of GW players.
I wonder if there's any potential in adding a polling feature to the log-in screen. Ask people to vote after they've entered their details, just before they pick their character to get a broader community opinion on things.
Set it up so that each account gets one vote per question asked by the devs.
It should help to give better information on what the people actually playing GW feel on different issues.
You like idea?

As frivolous as it is to request, /signed. Not only will it help with Anet's decisions on updates, it will also cut down on the whiny posts here if we can just /point to the votes. Until someone starts claiming they're being fixed.

some people always ask:
what was that update for?
what is going on?(during events)
if just a small pop up before character selection to inform people of event/update-go here for details/poll for community feedback (as long as there is an option to say "Don't bug me any more, I am aware of the update)...might get more of the community informed or able to participate in the future changes of GW

i dont like the idea of using the login screen....... i use -email and -password so i dont see the login screen, i would prefer a city crier in every main town. you talk to this guy and he has news *updates events what have you* and polls. maybe he can even have the HB , GVG, HA ladders too.

Some type of ingame polls would be a good way of getting opinions of everyone.

then how will Anet justify making unnecessary and unfun game changes that benefit no one?

In the other thread that suggested this, I gave an idea about an NPC with a question and some possible anweres and a confirmation dialog.
Such NPCs would be in the port cities... much like Xunlai Tournament agents, they could appear and disappear when needed.
