In the wording of the sunspear skill whirlwind attack, when it says attack target and adjacent foes does it mean all foes adjacent to you or just foes adjacent to the target?
Basically, is it the lame elite of 100 blades or the coolness of the non-elite cyclone axe?

It's foes adjacent to the target. If you feel a non elite version of triple chop which is not limited to axe (think daggers/scythes and IW
) is lame, sorry for your loss.

it should hit like cyclone axe but can be used with any weapon...the major drawback is that it can't recharge itself due to the 1sec recharge

100 Blades is lame because it does no extra damage and is an elite, not because of the way the AoE damage hits foes. Triple chop for example works like 100 blades as well and is awesome because of the extra damage per attack that it does.

I second the disadvantage
its a shame i can't just use it 3-4 times in a row and kill whole mobs

I didn't say [skill]Whirlwind Attack[/skill] was a terrible skill because it can't recharge...i just said that it was a draw back....but it would go well with another type of AoE mele attack such as [skill]Cyclone Axe[/skill] or [skill]Triple Chop[/skill]..or one of the sword ones...even the terrible [skill]Hundred Blades[/skill]...but most likely the [skill]Dragon Slash[/skill]
But the nicest thing about it is that it doesn't Trigger [skill]Spiteful Spirit[/skill] more than once per use.

hundred blades, splash dmg and hits twice. why does everyone come down on it so hard? lol it's sun and moon slash but AoE of target. skill does not need to have dmg bonus to not be "lame" or "terrible".

Actualy Milennin, I think they did that in the beta. There were two hammer elites (devestating and backbreaker (I think, might be 3)), 2 axe (cleave and evisercate), and 1 sword (100 blades) during prophecies. Why do you think axe is still so popular to this day in PvP (force of habit since the best elite was evisercate)?
