assassins in PVE
filipino=pinoy
I am wondering about making a sin in PVE. I noticed sins link their attacks to do damage. So in PVE your sin can only attack one monster at a time in a mob? Repeat and move onto another monster?

Correct, but don't let that dissuade you from making an Assassin. Since all their bonus damage is armor ignoring, you are able to do massive damage to a single target.

yea but its not that bad really. its just like any other char you link attacks with. just with the sin its mandatory.
plus most attacks cost a cheap 5 nrg and they attack real fast.
so its really not that bad. and you can do some AOE damage with some skills.
still they are of the more fun chars ive played.

That's basically it. It is easier than PvP, if that's what you fear, since you know what you will be against and few mobs have block stances. And with a good attack chain you can kill/greatly weaken pretty much any caster, in faction it is alway true but i'm not sure about late NF.
The only things you have to be careful with are the assassin hate (which I personnally never felt too greatly, playing an assass and a mesmer in PvE) and learn to hit 'n' run.
The hate isn't that much of a problem with most groups unless they already have 2 assass (from groups I've seen).
The Hit 'n' run and learning not to take agro are really important if you don't want to die right away, thus being hated by all. Personnally my attack rythm with a perfect PUG (a tank holding the mobs ahead and the casters staying behind) looks like : wait for agro to be locked, go to the front, land 1-2 chain depending on the chains I use on the war, fall back, repeat. But as I said you can be devastating on a caster, just use dots to finish the aflicteds.

Yeah DB MS is the way to go.

DB + MS + Splinter Weapon(Sec class or team mates) is deadly in PvE.

Honestly if you wish to go very safe, yet not get bored with the Assassin, use him as an Offensive Promiser (A/RT). It's way more fun than the critical barrager, yet it takes some time (the drawback). Other than that, it's really fun to play the Assassin as it was originally intended.
