Tyrian PvE Skills!!
electrofish
Now that both Factions and Nightfall have their own campaign specific PvE skills, it is only fair that Tyria have them too.
I understand that there is a lack of trackable title in tyria (no alliance, ss or lb title to grind for), however this is not necessarily a bad thing. Associating skills to title progression just encourage grinding, so why not just give us skills that does not progress? or alternatively associate it with the primary attribute of each profession. No matter how it is done the most important thing though, is to introduce PvE skills to Phrophecies since it's already missed out on other rewards such as end game green.
My suggestion is to have the skills awarded by the vision of glint upon completing all 4 of the titan quests. Any thoughts?

there's 5 titan quests tbh

*shrug* just have each campaign's skills be available after completing the final mission in normal mode, then have em get stronger for each point on the protector and guardian titles.

Introduce a new title/faction - The Shining Blade! There we go.
englitdaudelin
Sunspear lvl 7 or 8 is easy enough to get just by questing and taking bounties. So, shouldn't Prophecies skills be equally easy to get and develop? Skill trainer available in Dragon's Lair outpost? And then Dakk in Ember light can "upgrade" the skills when you get to him, if you've completed all three Southern Shiverpeak missions?
Clone
Don't screw up prophecies with grind for skills too.

Same could be done with Deldrimor/Stone Summit conflict. YEEEHAW!
On topic: yes, some TYRIAN PvE skills should be in order. I fail to see the reason why is Tyria neglected. No end-game green, no pve-only skills, ... Tyria ftw!

I agree .....tyria is my favorite place to play and i own all 3 chapters. I spend more time there then anywhere and there are usually more active player groups as well. There should be something worthwhile to do in tyria...the only real place for greans is in SF and that gets boring....there are what 3-4 others scattered around the map...give us some sort of end game content in the Original GW please!!
Engel the Fallen
It would be awesome. Give like 4 points per monster killed and start the title at 500000.

Sunspear is fine, since it's part of the storyline, and you get pretty high levels just by playing normally. Also, if it was implemented into Prophecies, it would be completely optional grind, unlike having to have a certain amount to move on. Win/win, IMO.

If they made it faction oriented (though we dont have titles or faction, and please DON'T ADD the blessing system in Tyria!), the white mantle or the Shining blades are the most obvious answers. Perhaps more the white mantle.
On a more humourous tone...
I want the last skill to be Spectral Agony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EDIT : I said the seers but the wision of Glint is probably what will happen.

Don't take the messed up luxon/kurzick idea, worse idea in the game. Lets limit and divide the player base with a useless Alliance system that only works in one chapter, but limits there interactions in another!

They release two sets of profession-specific skills for free, so it's only fair they release a third set for free too? I'm afraid game developers may have a different definition for the word "fair"

ValaOfTheFens
I'd like some Tyrian PvE skills. The Luxon/Kurzick skills require boring PvP grind(which sort of defeats the purpose of these being PvE only skills) and I already have the relevant Sunspear skills. I know quite a few people who only own Prophecies and they're confused about why they don't get anymore new content. At the very least ANet could give PvE only to those who've beaten Augury Rock and have ascended(foreign characters would have to beat Augury Rock to get the skills, even if they're Closer To The Stars or Sunspear General). There are a goodly number of missions before Augury Rock and so its not like it would be too easy to get *cough* Sunspear skills *cough* or too tedious to get *cough* Luxon/Kurzick skills *cough*.
Silly Warrior
Cool ideas, although I don't see Anet introducing any new Skills in Tyria, as Tyria has no titles that could be used to chart the skills.

Oh and what is HM, Totem Axes, SF, Tombs and Rotwing Bow again?
freekedoutfish
The reason it wouldnt really work is because Tyria doesnt have "faction points" (i.e, Kuzack, Luxon, Sunpear, Lightbringer) which you can earn!
The skills which were added to factions and nightfall obviously work with them, and work towards how much faction u have!
And I dont see Anet adding something as big as faction points to Tyria!

no point, of this. GWEN is coming out, so there goes new pve skills for ya there.

They have alrdy said there will be Sunspear-style titles to earn in EotN, an EotN is located in Tyria so....

Eh, maybe PvE Tyrian skills based off the Protector of Tyria title track...but the 5 Glint quests seem like a good idea. I might actually do them then. =)
Oh please Gaile at least ask the devs about this idea. =D.

Fact not oppinion~ White Mantle > Shining Blade.
bilateralrope
Why do they even need to be based on a title ?
I say tie them to an attribute line instead, since there aren't any complaints about that.

Rurik-skills. We all love that cheezy prince.
"You cannot save me"
Shout. You loose all health and all party members are healed for 100-300% of the amount of health you lost.
""This is a fight we cannot win"
Skill. All party members shadow step out of aggro range.
etc etc.. Frankly, I thought of Tyrian skills too, but unlike Factions and Nightfall, Prophecies is an extremely well designed game, there are no superpowered mobs or areas (perhaps Icedome is an exception.) I don't see the need for them, and besides, I'd rather have Anet focusing on making GW:EN as solid as Prophecies.
Prophecies makes me happy. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

PvE Skills should be based on Protector Titles because...
THEY ARE PVE SKILLS, PROTECTOR IS A PVE TITLE (Friend of the Lux/Kurz isn't nessisarily a PvE title, though Sunspear is). Not every mission is Super Easy (heros have made them relitivly easy).
At least make Tyrian PvE skills based on the Protector title - that takes a while to get people. :S
/le sigh
Also, Anet, give PvE skills a different border color, similar to elites. Totally.

Tyria gets kinda boned with a lot of updates.
However, I'd rather have it the way it is now than into another Elona

On a more to-the-point note, the completion of the Titan Quests would be a decent follow-up to Tyrian PvE skills.

Its an expansion for all 3 campaigns!
How they will access it from each seperate campaign I have no idea, but because its all underground in caves and dungeons, it means it cant just be contained underneath prophercies.
So to say that adding sunspear skills to GW:EN is like adding them to prophercies is incorrect, because GW:EN expands upon all 3 campaigns and isnt localised to any of them.
