I would like to see a Guild Leader Title added to the In Game Name of those who are guild leaders. I believe if they have spent the time, effort, and money to build and recruit; I think they deserve a note of recognition. I would also like to know when I am playing with or against another leader. (hehe)
It would be nice to see a permanent symbol attached to their In Game Name, seperate from the title tracks that can be noted.
Anyone else agree or disagree?..........
Guild Leader Title

While i agree that we should have ranks within the guild chat channel i don't think it should be like a title or easily recognizable addition to names in common areas. This would be better off in the sardelec forum (game suggestion forum)

For about 3k, anyone can be a guild leader, so i'd have to disagree with your suggestion. It would be just another useless status symbol.

I can set up a guild (see above) to get the title.
This would mean nothing about my GL skills.
Guild leaders can change.
For example, my current guild had several leaders before our current leader got in command.
Our guild is the efford of several people that have been leader.
Officers are also very important in our guild.
Together, leader and officers, we run the guild, this is not a one man effort.
Also, there are officers that contributed highly to the guild, but are not in it anymore because of various reasons.
Something I would agree with is an officers mark.
Visible in outposts and/or explorable areas/missions (like capes).
People know who's able to recruit if they put it on.
Ability to turn visibility off would be required, since I don't like constant whisps.
I know some officers are a little shy to active recruitment when we are having fun with a partly guild team, while PUG members in that team might be shy to ask if there is an officer that can recruit them.

Yes, there should be a set of prerequisites for obtaining the Guild Leader tag, ex: vote by members, number active members, ect..... Of course, not just anyone should be able to easily buy or obtain the Guild Leader tag. Leaving the vote up to the members would be a good way to keep it voluntary and assure that the leader is worthy of the tag.
There are characteristics that set a good Guild Leader apart: the Guild Leader's ability to Recruit, Help, Teach, Build, Grow, Lead, and so on. This tag would be a way of noting those Guild Leaders. If a Guild Leader does not have or use these abilities then the guild will eventually shrink and/or snuff itself out.
Officers play no small part in the function of a good guild; I have met some very good Officers in my time. I would not be opposed to an Officer title as well. But, keep in mind that it takes a good Guild Leader to know who to recruit and keep as a good Officer.
(Keeping it simple and subtle, the tags should be small and possibly denoted by a single letter or symbol.)
