avatar size question

ok i tryed to ad an avatar to day and i resized y image at 100x100, and it siad it was to big, but what is the biggest dimentiosn i can get without spending ages playing about. i have surched but nothing came up, any help form u pros out there

The size also matters, send me the URL to the pic, and I'll resize it if you want
