Are PvE Only Skills Just Another Skill Unused?

I thought that the PvE skills were supposed to be something special? I have tested out some of the skills and I was not completely impressed, and with the recent update to the skills (June 19); now some of them are even less impressive.
Each time I have had a concern that really mattered to me I have contacted GW support and talked to them. From there, each time they have told me to write in a Guild Wars community forum and if it gets enough talk about then they will look into it more in depth. So, I was just wondering people's thoughts about the PvE only skill idea.
For me personally, I LOVE the idea and implementation of these skills. I have been waiting for them even before they were talked about publicly. I have just always hoped for skills that were a little stronger and could only be used in PvE gaming. I love to play the game and I ACTUALLY watch all the videos and read most of the writings for the quests. I like the story line so much that I want to enjoy it and play through the game. I just thought that the PvE skills would have given a better advantage to be able to play through the game a little more smoothly. My thought then is that the PvE skills be a little stronger and not become just another skill that most people don't use in their builds.
Please express any opinions about this subject matter and REMEMBER to please be respectful of other people's opinions when they write.

Sorry if this subject matter is listed some where else in the forums, I looked around and did not find it.

This depends very much on the profession, I guess.
And on the level of the title you have.

On the Sunspear skills:
- Eternal Aura, resets all skills,
Reset of Avatars is great!

- "There's Nothing to Fear!", damage reduction and heal, linked to leadership
Para's might be able to get a place in PvE PuGs

- Vampirism, spirits steals life from enemy and get you healed
Comparable to other spirits, but this one seems unlinked to attributes.
Usefull in some situations when more than one player brings it.

- Critical Agility, IAS+ armor, linked to assassin primary
BOA for assassins

- Intensity, deal up to 25% more damage
Depending on build, this is good or not so good

- Cry of Pain, interrupt with conditional AoE damage
I tried this one today, it's a fair skill and I could swap E-surge out my Dom build.

- Necrosis, conditional damage dealer (fast reload)
Seems ok, low energy req and spammable

- Seed of Life, heal whole party when one member gets hit
Specially Good on tank or bonder

- Never Rampage Alone, IAS and health regen
Requires pet, that's the bad part

- Whirlwind Attack, AoE melee damage
buffed version of cyclone axe, I wonder how it works with a hammer

Sunspear skills are good so far, afaik.

Please state why you are not happy with them.

My problem with the skills is that they are just not that 'special' or strong. I had the understanding, I thought, that the skills were going to be stronger and that they were going to stand out. These skills, especially after the nerf do not seem as any 'special' PvE skill.
I think that my whole problem is that I had the misconception that the PvE skills were supposed to be something that would help people get through the game a little easier. Similar to Lightbringer's Gaze, it can hit more than one target and can damage for around 100 hit points.

The thing is, the game is easy enough to get through without overpowered skills. I mean, people did beat Abbadon's Mouth all those ages ago with just Phrophecies skills and henchmen. Do you really need to make it any easier to beat static build AI? The skills are slightly more powerful without being broken. Generally, I think they are fine as is.

I feel that these PvE skills lack a base functionality, that is, good and strong even at lower tiers of the titles, especially the Luxon/Kurzick titles. Add that more than a handful of them really aren't much better than existing skills, and I can see your dissapointment in a few. Intensity is only up for 10 seconds, which is silly, and Glyph of Elemental Power is better, overall, then Ether Lord... and nobody used GoEP before this.

I expand on this, and give some ideas to better the skills in this thread:
