There's some pretty serious abuse going on in the International RA's at the moment. People are trying to sync enter and get a full TA team of 4 in the RA to farm glad points - the end result is that they quit out of 95% of their matches because they don't have their 3 friends with them.
I've recognized a few well known gvg and ha players doing this to artificially inflate their glad title track, apparently they're not actually good enough at 4v4 to play real teams for glad points.
In the last two hours of solid arena time I played only a handful of matches (maybe 6 or 8), the other 80% of matches ended before they even started.
This is broken and needs fixing.
International District RA abuse: "sync teaming" for glad farming

syncing can be prevented easily by ensuring that people from different district are mixed, or by adding a pickup randomizer, making teams within a frame of 5-10 seconds rather then instantly. Though I guess such measures will not be implemented.
I wonder what the succes rate is to "sync" in RA?
This has been going on long time, and I guess it will remain for as long as the servers run.

I agree on the "remove glad points from RA" notion. Sometimes I just want a quick pvp match while my dinner cooks or if I have a few minutes to spare before work. It's just infuriating when I spend that time rolling 4 matches where everyone leaves.
I'd go so far as to say that only 50% of RA matches are 4v4. There are just so many people who will leave if there is no monk in their team, leave if there is 2 people of the same class, leave if someone leaves, leave if someone is using a class they think sucks, leave if someone has a joke name.
It's been bugging me ever since beta. There needs to be some sort of penalty for leaving, if only just a cosmetic one like -5 faction. Giving glad points for RA just made it worse. I do not play RA to farm titles, I play RA for quick random matches.
Leavers are definately my biggest pet peeve about GW.

I don't like the idea of taking glad points out of RA, but I do like the idea of actually making it random. The shuffle all entries option mentioned above would be fine. Or they could completely prevent a group from forming with members of the same guild or alliance. And while they are at it, maybe put some kind of "smart teaming" where it will at least try to put in different classes on a team (no more 2 monk groups).

This has always happened. Also, the probability of all 4 people (during regular ID population) getting on one team is practically zero. Two is pretty easy, and 3 will happen about 1/8-10 times. Unfortunately, it has always been this way, and anyone decent goes to TA anyway because they know they can make more glads there... I doubt anet will fix this, and it honestly does not have that big an impact on the game. I've been on plenty of teams so good that people think we synced and yet we didn't. Very, very few people sync enter RA enough to actually affect the title.

Yeah its a ridiculous problem. Ended up in INT RA occassionally by accident from a HA INT dis, and it was plainly stupid. Like the 2nd match will be against 3 rits spiking, all from the same guild.
People who do this are low scum, able to 'win' only when the other team by default lacks all organization and they themselves have build and voice comm worked out.
This is something different than just leaving an RA game because the team has no chance though.

If you play in Int don't you only get to play against others who entered from international districts? And yeah they should remove Gladiator titles from RA and give TA the title "Gimmick builds make me strong, but sometimes I lose to RA teams that filter in here". Also has anyone noticed that most monks and rits that hang around the arenas have the gladiator title?
