iv seen a couple ppl using swords with A/W and it works well for them so i was wondering if anyone could post a good A/W build that uses swordsmanship and a sword obviously to work well with PvE and Pvp or just one of them. thanks in advanced

I really don't see the allure in this sword sin crap. Just stick with your daggers. You'll do better.

Elementer's right on this. You're forced to spread your attributes too thin to accommodate swords, when you could probably do better with daggers. Leave the swords for the warriors -- they have the armor to handle more damage. As an assassin, you need more attack to make up for your lack of defense.

You've seen what? Why in the world will a sin use a sword? Maybe you've seen them "weapon swap".

swords do not have any skills that benefit from criticals so its lost there. You would be just crappier version of warrior.

The only time I've seen 'sins use swords is as a higher armour/health weapon swap when they're being wailed on.

Other than that, 'sins with swords fail. There's nothing in swordsmanship for the assassin to take advantage of... At least other melee weapons have higher crit damage.

You generally want a weapon that has a high difference between it's min and max damage. ( axe: 6-28, scythe: 9-41 ) Because you crit often, only the max damage will count, and doing the best possible damage. The sword damage spectrum is too small for that to be effective.

If you want to try a weapon other then daggers, use a hammer axe or Scythe for the best out of your crit damage

Take Critical agility (if you can) to help out your damage output
A defensive skill will do you well (not armor, CA has that covered)
your res
your heal
And thats about it.

You can do well without daggers, its just not worth the trouble.

If you have to go with another weapon, go with a scythe or axe+shield. It won't be as good as going primary with those weapons, but you're obviously not too concerned about that.

I'm thinking about trying an axe-sin for general PvE, just to see how it goes. We'll see.
