Guild Wars Eye of the North prerelease

Q3 = July, August, September.

Why do people insist on making posts like this when the only information they have to go on is rumour (which is all those online sites are giving you until an official announcement) and probably flawed guesswork presented by other forum goers?

Q4 is OCT/NOV/DEC

did you think really that SEPT was Q4 somehow?

and didnt all these different release dates give you a clue that they might be wrong ?

Yes i am wrong becuase i keep forgetting that Sept is Q3 and not Q4, don't know why. Yes about the dates, hopefull they arn't wrong, but only anet and time will tell.

The stupidity is laughable at best. First of all, pre-ordering DOES NOT guarantee anything. Taking EBgames for example, they reserve the rights to deny your product and not send it on a timely matter. But basically seeing an unoffical "pre-order" has always been seen as a scam with eyes upon. I don't know why anyone would trust a retailer over the producing company? Do You?

And like someone else said too, 3rd quarter of the year is July -> September.

All I know is I'm waiting until Anet posts an official release date before I even preorder.

First of all, and most importantly....to Flopping Hog: Please consider the ramifications of your statements before typing them: Durka durka durka...you just caused me significant pain and damage to my keyboard as I have shot hot coffe out my nose onto my desk (you bastard!)...a friend of mine actually ended a "conversation" with a customer service rep for Sallie Mae with those very words...

Secondly, and within the topic of the thread: NEVER...EVER!!! EVER in Forever pre-order ANYTHING, ever for ANY reason from ANY retailer selling video games. Just Like Lethal Weapon 2 and what happens in the drive through....yes....that's right...they F*CK you in the drive through and they F*CK you in the pre-order. Dates don't mean diddley sh1t and you have NO rights or recourse when you don't get what you paid for, don't get it when they say it'll ship or don't include the promotional items as advertised....they will even demand more money from you if the price changes in their favor, but won't refund you any if the price changes in yours....they are evil, vile, reprehensible vermin and have no moral compass by which to stear their demented souls...I have literally been screwed out of EVERY SINGLE pre-order ever attempted....a total of 7 times from 4 different companies. In one case, I pre-ordered 4 months in advance for Nightfall from Best Buy and didn't get the pre-order promotional item....what pisses me off is that people who purchased the item in-store from the same location DID get it...Customer service and ANet e-mails about it over the course of three weeks ended with me returning the game unopened and a quick trip to ol' Freddy Meyer who never offers the false hope (THE LIES) that are the pre-order...F*CKING evil rip-off...DON'T do it. All it is is a way for the companies selling it to make profit off of your cash as it gains interest while you sit, empty-handed, waiting for your game to arrive. The agreement between you and the seller puts them at all the advantage and opens you up to vulnerability that no consumer would accept in any other market...The way it should be: they get your money and you get the game...better to just walk into the store where you can at least see the person take your money and HAND YOU A PRODUCT! <end rant>

august 31 has been the dummy date that software etc has had for months (like eb games, i believe software etc is owned by gamestop)

I would strongly encourage you to wait a little while. There's info coming, and more info a bit after that. I suggest you want all that info before you do anything.

Hello, my fellow Leos. My birthday is August 9th. And I'm pretty sure I won't be holding a new copy of GW:EN on that precise date. But don't despair: Third Quarter isn't that long, and release is not that far away!

Wont be in the UK during August. Hope they release in September.
