Green drop rate
1 pages • Page 1
According to my experience, the current green drop rate is somewhere between 5% to 10%. Heroes and henches are equal in this respect, any of them in the vicinity will reduce the rate accordingly (i.e., if you have 1 hero with you, your drop rate is halved, with 2 heroes down to one third and so on).
One tactic is, as mentioned already, to use heroes to clear the mob around the boss, then flag them away (at least twice the radar distance) and solo the boss. Another is to use the mob to help you in killing the boss (with A/E or E/A Sliver Armor builds) and yet another is to ignore the mob altogether (with most 55 builds).

Or, become a programmer, get a job with NCsoft, and change the game code.
But seriously folks, I seem to recall reading that they have changed the way things drop now so that it doesn't matter how many people are in your group, your drop rate is the same. So basically, you have two choices - you can keep killing the same boss over and over and over again, or you can play the game, get gold and/or other drops, and trade/buy the green you want.

Some things I have found help in killing bosses.
#1 - I bring heroes and have two MM heroes. When you flag the heroes away, the minions stay with you in the fight and help kill the boss. Makes it so I dont have to worry quite so much about my build and damage dealing. Pets on guard seem to do the same
#2 - For Monk bosses, I almost always go as monk secondary and put some points in smiting . Scourge Healing really helps to deal with their ability to self heal. Works good on warrior bosses that have a strong healing signet as well.
