Help with picking groups

Can someone please go into detail on how to pick a group for missions?

The only way I have found to do it is to click on the persons name and click the + to invite them. It seems like there should be an easier way. When people say they are looking for a group, is there a way to invite them without having to search for them?

Next to the add button, instead of searching for them, you can just type their name in and hit the + button.

Click on their name in Chat. That will put their name in your whisper box. Highlight their name in whisper, hit Ctrl-C (copy), click on the empty spot in your Party box, hit Ctrl-V (paste), hit Enter (or click on the +). No typing required.
