Hmmm...
15 energy for a 10 second base duration, with 50% block, 1/4 cast, and 0 cooldown
The only thing that scales is the damage, which isn't the real draw to the skill as other skills can do 79 earth damage (16 Earth prayers Mirage Cloak) for cheaper or more efficiently.
Thoughts on how to make it usable:
-Zealous scythe + IAS
-12 seconds under Enchanting modifier on scythe
-Extend enchantments can make it last up to 20 or 21 seconds at 15 or 16 Mysticism (when Extend Enchantment ends all enchantments are lost)
-If you go to an extreme, 15 Mysticism --> 5 energy return making it a net 10 energy cost
-Zealous Vow with an IAS
-Eremite's Zeal before it ends
-Meditation (Unreliable), once every 15 seconds
-Pious Renewal with 15 Mysticism
Delving into the secondary:
-Glyph of Lesser Energy, to make it cost nothing once every 3 casts
-glyph of energy, to make it cost nothing every 2 casts (wasting an elite for it is kind of overkill though)
-Channeling can make it usable since as a scythe user you are in the fray but it is unlikely you will have 10 things beating on you
-Auspicious Incantation can make it manageable...25 recharge is iffy though (although it is 2 casts of it under an enchanting modifier)
-Comboing it with Bonetti's Defense, ending Bonetti's after 3 hits to put up Mirage Cloak
-Offering of Blood/Offering of Spirit
-Victory is Mine with conditions from scythe (probably bad idea)
- using Leader's Zeal to gain 10 energy every 12 seconds provided you have 5 allies in range (needs 6 Motivation)
-Energizing Wind, since it doesn't lengthen 0 recharge because 25% longer of 0 is 0
-Defender's Zeal...but totally unreliable
-Essence bond/Balthazar's Spirit when tanking (yeh right)
Anyone actually use this...effectively?
