I see basicly the build consist on a combo of Monk and Necro, but which one is better for primary job?

Necro are much cooler than monk, but monk has divine favor as primary attribute, so I don't know which is better, I would appreciate some advices.

And, does this kind of build still able to farm as mad like before?
If not, which combo is better?

Thanks and sorry for the poor english.

There's MANY MANY MANY different combinations of 55hp.

Mo/N and the N/Mo are either using Spiteful Spirit of Spoil Victor

There's old school Mo/W with Bonetti's Defense.

Now a days there's Mo/D using Mystic Regeneration and Shielding Hands/Shield of Absorption and Protective Spirit.

Honestly, I 55 about the same amount with Necro and Monk just use Insidious Parasite. As divine favor doesn't really play a factor with a monk until you cast a spell on yourself and you get a % heal from that spell.

The current "problem" with solo farming was the introduction of loot scaling so you no longer make near what used to be possible with solo farming, now you only make ~1/8th of the profits from dropped loot.

TBH, your best bet is to grab some close friends and go farm together in a group rather than solo farm.

But does the 55hp char still good at farming even on parties, or it's just pointless to be a 55 char on a party?

I have only Prophecies for now, and I'm currently a W/Mo , and I'm getting my ass kicked by those Charr Hides (large groups)...

55hp char is JUST for farming. no parties no anything. And the way you say that last sentence it sounds like you have a 55 W\Mo?? and if you do thats a big no no.

55 builds are horrific in group builds, simply because for the 55hp build to work properly you need all the aggro/monster AI attacking you. In groups everyone is going to be the "hero" and rush in and attack breaking off the aggro from you and now you aren't getting energy back so that you can produce enough energy to maintain your protective spirit.

If you go in a group go with a Spiteful Spirit or Spoil Victor necromancer and make sure they stay back and out of aggro range so they wont pull the monster AI onto themselves.

But if you're having problems with Charr and you're a W/Mo, my suggestion to you is to learn the basics of a Warrior which has higher armor, and can easily out last a 55hp build in many parts of the game with the proper build. Do some research here on the forums in the farming section and the gladiators section. Trust me the more you research up on builds and do your homework on a certain class, the better player you will become.

I think you might mean Gladiator's Defense, and that would be for a W/Mo.

Let's not forget Shield of Judgement either!

Hard Mode is the way to go now, and many of the old 55 farming builds are very useful in it. Check out the farming section here on Guru.

No. The old popular Mo/W 55 build used bonetti's defense. In fact, my boyfriend still uses the Mo/W bonetti's build for duo 55ing UW.

Really depends on your target. If all Melee targets then [skill]Spiteful Spirit[/skill] Necro 55 is probably the fastest. But if you are attacking Casters and Melee at the same time Monk would be a good choice since [skill]Shield of Judgment[/skill] can hit all of them from a distance. In my opinion the Monk wins on attacking just undead. Do to the double damage of holy vs. undead IMO

Personally I prefer the 55ing with a monk you can use any 2nd class Ranger / Warrior / Mesmer are my favorites, or just by itself.

P.s. Divine Favor saves my butt when I over aggro, or I get multiple conditions put on me
