Getting new characters inbetween campaigns

Hello everyone.

I've done research on this and it's surprisingly hard to find. I guess most people assume everyone knows how this process works. But for someone like me who's only been playing a few weeks, I don't understand every aspect of it.

This may be the wrong place to post this question, but it seemed "general/basic/etc" enough. Would any of you here mind detailing everything I would need to do to get Factions and Nightfall characters into Prophecies, assuming that: 1) I have all three campaigns; 2) I don't know any of the slang or abbreviations of areas or abilities; 3) I don't know how long it takes to do any of this.

I've played a friend's character, from Prophecies, and enabled transit to Elona by doing a quest in Lion's Arch. But say, what all must I do to get my assassin (Stasi) into Tyria? Or specifically, Ascalon? I also have a Dervish I'd like to do the same with.

(PS: I noticed someone post about slow site loading times. I am also experiencing this. It runs very slow on Firefox, and not at all on IE.)

Simply put, you need to do the Terror in Tyria or Chaos in Kryta quest. Terror is from Nightfall, Chaos is from Factions These quest can be acquired once you reach Consulate Docks in Nightfall, you get it from Deras Tenderlin or once you get to Kaineng Center in Factions where you get it from Guardsman Chienpo

they both port you to Lion's Arch, you will have to run backwards to get to Ascalon. You cannot get any quests before Lion's Arch for foreign characters, and missions will give you no rewards before Lion's Arch.

Ah. Thank you both. I know how to get Nightfall characters to Consulate Docks, but how do I get to Kaineng Center? Is it as easy as getting ferried by someone, or are there missions involved?

That's the progression for Factions. You cannot be ferried or run there. Once you get to the Marketplace, simply go due North for Kaineng Center. You can also get max armor at Kaineng.

And if you need a hand with anything, just ask aswell, we do the ascalon runs quite a lot and a lot of guildies have just decided to make new Tyrian characters (god only knows why)

It could be they like myself prefer the looks of the core class.
