W/Mo

I am currently a W/Mo and am in Post Searing and I want to change my profession to nothing here are me questions:

Will I lose all my Monk spells?
(I am planning on getting the spell to tame a pet) Will I be able to get the tame an animal spell in Post Searing?
Is there anyway to get the Tame a pet spell (I dont' remember the name of the spell) without changing my second profession from Monk and staying a W/Mo?

I hope all of those make sense. Thanks for all the answer!

You will not be able to change your secondary profession for quite some time (past 1/2 through the game, when you're level 20). (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Profess...ry_professions)

Rangers are the only ones who can tame pets (either ranger primary or secondary).

check out www.guildwiki.org for a great reference to the game.

Oh wow thanks I didn't know they had that

Well I saw a lvl 20 in Pre Searing (I opened the gate to the North for him and ventured with him) and he was just a Warrior nothing else and had a lvl 20 bear pet thing so idk how he did that then.

You are stuck with W/Mo until you reach the Crystal Desert which is alonggg way away.

You can not get a pet unless you are either a Ranger/Something or Something/Ranger.

Again you will not be able to switch to W/R until the desert so, you can't use Charm Animal to get a pet until then.

So, to maybe clean things up you can not use any skills from a different profession i.e. a W/M could never use Charm Animal but a W/R could.

Hope that helps.

That's because he was 'testing' the Ranger skills to get Charm Animal.

To clarify, if you don't accept the second profession, you can try them all, which was kind of the point. If you do switch back and forth, you will still have the skills when you go back to that profession.

you have to do the building the base quests. Each of the 3 quests puts few more NPC's into the command post, one of those will be the profession changer.
