Im a little confused how armor works since the changes.

If i had obsidian flesh (+20 armor) on and used dolyak signet (lets say it gave +40). Would i just have 25 armor due to the cap or does it count the single highest armor skill so i would have 40 from the dolyak and obsidians armor bonus ignored?

It'd take Dolyak's +40, as it is a single skill breaking the cap, and ignore Flesh's bonus.

No,this is how it works

If you are warrior , one of your warrior armor skill counts (highest one)

If you are secondary elementist add your warrior armor skill + elementalist armor skill

if obby flesh is 40 armor and dolyak is 40,than u get +80 armor bonus, which impresses as similar lower dmg,but significanyly lower higher dmg

Uhm, White Head Yeti, the recent update that made armor bonuses not stack over +25 is what is coming into play here. It doesn't matter that one is an Ele skill and the other a warrior skill. Unless the signet was only giving +5 armor, the totaled bonus is greater than +25. This means one of two things, if the two skills gave bonuses of say +20 and +10 then you'd get +25 armor, but since in the example given, the signet is giving +40, thats all you get.

Stormlord is correct (and white head apparently wasn't aware of the update, that is how it WOULD have worked a few weeks ago though).

May i ask, will obsidian flesh effects still be in place -> No amour buff but ignore offensive skills?

I remembered that the side effects will still be in effect although the amour buff is capped. Can someone answer my doubts?
Thank

Ichigo: yep, all effects except the armor bonus would still be in effect
