FUN THINGS TO DO - please add what you do for fun

Can we please create a list in here of fun things to do . Like many others Ive done most things in the games. I like doing tombs the most , but often there is no people there so Im wondering what everyone is doing for fun repetitive things.

The definition of FUN for this pupose is :

SHOULD HAVE
It is fairly easy to form, a group or use heros at or in a reasonable time frame for a group
Something that allows you to try and improve in times or something each time you do it.
Something you can do several times again and again and there is something about it that makes you want to try it again.
Rewards are reasonable but its not the main reason you do it. (this is because I dont like straight single farming one particular thing and dont want everyone to list their favourite farming thing,,,, although if it fits these categories feel free.
The reason you do it.

DOES NOT NEED TO HAVE
It does not have to be a big money earner, or something that produces lots of riches or greens or anything, although if its why you do it list it.

DONT BOTHER LISTING:
ugoz, Deep, Fow, or UW runs.

Example and this is one of my favourites:

FUN: Running tombs in Pet Barrage
REASONS: Trying to improve time to complete, AND / OR getting away from the standard old RBP build and trying to introduce slight changes.
THRILL: Ripping through hard mode really fast, feelings of invincibility
REWARDS: Yep you get some, lots cash, xp, skillpoints over time, odd ectos, and some golds.

Would really appreciate you listing your things like the format above, that way people can assess if your thrill is the thrill they would like to try out.

It would be cool to find out what everyone is doing out there for fun, because people are so spread out.

Please do not just turn this in to another farming location list,, but if there is one particular farm you do all the time and it makes it fun for some reason , please list it.

Thanks ,,, Cam

FUN: Standing around in crowded towns and responding to Local Chat.
REASONS: To help out newbies and others who ask questions, or to blow off some steam arguing with fools, miscreants, and wrongdoers.
THRILL: Feels good to help people who are frustrated and need assistance with stuff. It also feels good to blow off some steam debating people sometimes.
REWARDS: More people enjoy the game, less frustration, more enlightenment, fewer spammers, scammers, and tricksters.

Fun: Provoking a fight between harpies and hekets outside Forum Highlands
Reason: Just to see 20+ creatures battle it out.
Thrill: Its like watching Saving Private Ryan, but without guns. and no humans.
Rewards: Nothing, just the enjoyment of watching a massive battle.

I like to help "newer" players in prophecies....I will usually help any group that is looking to do the Galrath quest. I really enjoy it....because to a new player 4k exp is a ton.

EDIT: maybe this should be moved to the riverside since it is now in the elona subforum...and the response will not all have to do with Elona

I do the same, except instead of helping people, I ask silly questions like "whats a guild?". Its also fun to start rumours by posting WTB <some imaginary item> 100k+200e in trade, minis that don't exist are great for this.

My personal favorite though, it to go to the major towns during holiday celebrations and ask "where do you get hats from?" or "Is the hat guy here yet?"

^ You're evil rofl.

Playing 7 assassins and 1 monk in smurf guilds, fun fun fun. AB is also fun if you're with friends.

In PvE I found soloing UW as a Warrior the most fun I had. At first W/N chamber+wastes, but then moving deeper into the UW with W/E (pity ANet doesn't approve of this type of fun). Soloing Sorrow's Furnace as a warrior was great fun too. Pretty much everything in GW was fun before factions. Still some fun stuff, though.

Rank scrubs aswell.~~~~~~~~

FUN: Doing missions with as few people as possible
REASONS: Trying to improve time to complete, building teamwork and just the all out challenge.
THRILL: Beating Vizunah Square with only 8 out of 16 people 5 of which were hero/henchi
REWARDS: Doing the Impossible/Improbable. Just a good boost of self confidence in you and your team.

Love doing missions, but ever tryed vizunah square with only 8 people. If you know the trick to get teamed with another team in the foreign sector, then after they get mhenlo to you have them all resign/leave (may take a few trys to get teamed together). There is no greater feeling than doing a mission designed for 16 players with only 8. Oh and try not to use any cookie cutter 55 monk builds they take the fun out of it, which will not work on this example.

REASON: No stress , No Titles , No Getting Killed ahhhhh Like a Hot Bath of Relaxation
THRILL: Watching my Battle Necro Weild a Crystalline Skin Sword in a really fun build. (Whack , Slash , Bite! ^vv^)
REWARDS: Well ocaisonly you find a Black Dye and go "Gosh - Money for retirement" but mainly not having to face Kammadan

why? for random siliyness, everyone needs to do something silly once in a while.

If you've ever looked at the box...or the manual...or other promotional material..and seen the builds the developers suggested...it's fun to run them. ...but you have to go solo.

The best was was this:

W/E
Hamstring
Aura of Restoration
Glyph of Sacrifice
Fire Storm
Heal Sig
Res Sig
Flare
Executioner's Strike

I know...there's an axe skill and a sword skill. I had axe and sword each at 10....I loaded up my drok's armor and went Rotting Dragon hunting as depicted on the box.....with a bow. XD

This build is SO FUN to play, when ppl ask me why i do it i answer its fun! and its really fun to be spy... Take out Vengance and use Lifa Attunement on melee characters, they love it.

Personaly, I like coming up with unusual (useful, and less useful) builds for RA, such as:

A touch Necro who will sec himself to death before the opponent actually dies (less useeful).

Vampiric Aura Air spiker, Ele with maxed out Air and blood magic, actually works reasonably.

And the last one I'm gonna bother mentioning:
The Pacifist: Roll Mo/Ri and bring the skills:
Pacifism, Amity, Binding Chains, and whatever weird skills you'd like, simply annoy a warior or anyone who will not take damage for a while by keeping him completely useless for as long as you can (less useful, but very entertaining)

Too many seem to think they are invincible with a sythe and vital boon.

Related to drupal's post and the OP:

I still LOVE pugs!

Fun: I used to play Orders necro in Tombs B/P PuG teams a lot.
Reasons: It's still a lot of fun to PuG around and also good for your friends list. Improving builds is also fun to do.
Thrill: Recovery from almost whipe when someone makes a mistake
Rewards: Besides the fun and some drops, I joined my current guild after a couple of runs with some of them. Meeting new friends and probably a new (and better) guild is one of the best rewards for playing PuG.

The most rewarding 'PuG' moment we as guild had recently was at a HM mission at Ice Caves.
We invited some random people in our team of 3 guildies.
One started complaining about how difficult it is to find HM players.
We were having some fun chatting in the team while sorting skills, so we just mentioned in a kind of joke way 'You can always join a HM guild'.
And he responded 'Are there any?', thinking we were joking with him.
I hope he's happy with his new guildies

when I want to do something leisurely, that I can do as long as I like, with no set goals other than a sense of achievement and time well spent, I go Big~Game Hunting in Gloom ..
~ by that, I mean solohunting Abyssals ... well, if fancy takes me (and opportunity) I will also go for other critters there ... but just as some people only hunt elephants, my favoured prey there is Abyssals

this is NOT the E/A or A/E farming that plagues those areas, I am a hunter not a farmer~!@

like real hunting, this requires patience .. and is not an efficient means of getting rich .. the best typical drops are lockpicks and those pretty green Torment Gems (not worth much now, tho I've been doing this since they were about the 20k mark, and I always got excited when they dropped - now it's, well a pleasant return but I don't do it for the loot).

the lure ~
http://img363.imageshack.us/img363/4...tormbowwh1.jpg
.. with my trusty StormBow

the chase ~
http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/9466/thechasedh3.jpg
.. beastie is chasing me, that is~!

the kill ~
http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/1077/gw454go8.jpg
.. a CripDagger kill on one o these takes nerves o steel

another trophy
http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/2...ergloomia4.jpg
I just love pwning the biggest baddest melee monstie with my lil Sin

the wonderful thing about doing this, is there is no one set build to solo Abyssals, I have had success with pure Sin skills, A/E, A/Mes, and A/R .. any sorta melee hate works here ~
.. hope this inspires other to try it out

Two suggestions:

FUN: Take out that big herd of Rampaging Ntouka in Sunward Marches
REASONS: Kick Ntouka butt
THRILL: See how fast you can kill them with no deaths and fewest possible heroes.
REWARDS: Next time you meet a Rampaging Ntouka in Kourna he'll hang his head in shame

FUN: Take out a Torment Claw in melee
REASONS: Challenge of skill (can be any profession, but you have to stand in melee range)
THRILL: Kill the easiest high level monster to kill in the whole game on their own terms. Kite their powerful slashes and survive their nasty hits.
REWARDS: Vastly increase the size of your Demonic Relic collection.

Two things I do for fun:

Fun: Helping Others
Reason: Helps me improve my builds, improve my game play, allows me to hopefully make new friends, helps pass the time
Thrill: Watching a simple mission explode into a dismall blood bath because of some accidental error in a PUG. Its fun to heal in a panic or save someone from a horde of Char/Titans/Grawl/etc.
Rewards: Self-improvement, friends, possible greens/good items, earn more gold from drops, passing the time.

Fun: Getting my Rit to achieve the most rewards I can (forgetting about Ascolon Pre-Seering)
Reason: Build improvement, caping, improve game play, passing the time
Thrill: caping, exploration, kicking monster butt
Rewards: caping, gold, items, better builds, more options on builds, getting more titles, passing the time.

Fun: ABing with guildies.
Reason: It's still PvP but you can be more relaxed and social.
Thrill: Laughing at 10 year old sins, coming back from near defeat.
Rewards: There's the faction I guess.

Fun: PvE Title Chasing
Reason: Every title is different, you can skill cap for a bit then vanquish then Explore, it's pretty varied.
Thrill: Watching my Maxed Title Track slowly tick up towards I'm Very Important (13/15 atm :P).
Rewards: Nice little words underneath your name.

Fun: Running around with a mandragor (take 1 spiked egg nog and 1 sugary sweet to increase fun level)
Reason: being like the Pied Piper
Thrill: You usually get 3-4 people who chase the mandragor
Rewards: work on your drunk/sweet tooth title

Big title chasing fan for the same reasons as Togira Ikonaka mentioned. This is something I do as a part of it when I get sick of something else:

Fun: Do the Djinn run that starts out by leaving Dzagonur Bastion to the SW

Reason: It's quick, easy, and picks me up after getting slaughtered by an ele sandstorm crag boss in the Poisned Outcrops or a stalemate with a griffon monk boss because I forgot to bring an appropriately built mes or derv; work on lightbringer points (elemental bounty right at the beginning); usually encounter three Vabbian chests to go towards treasure hunter, and one or two usually contain a gold for wisdom track; if it's been long enough the buried treasure should be back.

Thrill: Works on three title tracks at once; trying to improve time. Can be done with heroes and henchies (go with smaller party for better rewards).

Rewards: If you are opening all the chests, the monetary rewards are small seeing as you have to replenish your keys, but I have picked up a few great gold items and you will see you plat start to rake up after doing it for a while.

Overall, the only reason to do this is if you get sick of challenging things and want something easy that will still accomplish the things you were doing the challenging stuff for (albeit at a slower rate)
