GW:EN release date confirmed

I hope EB doesn't abuse their monopoly in Australia by charging AU$80 for it. I mean they've been screwing people for a long time now. Full price games in the US cost $50, in Australia it's $100. Now, currently the Aussie dollar is at 85c American, which would mean a game in Australia costs US$85. Where does the other $35 go? Shipping? Oh please.

uhhh...isn't GW2 like 2 years away....that should be plenty of time for you to max out the titles you want.

Back on topic...this is awesome...only thing is I'm going to be on Vacation and out of the country.....I wonder if I can pick up a copy in Mexico........

Oh sweeet, Is there a preview event?Official?Would be sweet if we could get the bonus pre release pack through the online store. Is there going to be a CE?Would be nice if i could just get everything i could get from from the online store without the annoying hassle of preordering at 2 EB games.

I'm sure this has been discussed over and over, but I've been gone for a long while and the search feature's not pulling up anything... No Collector's Edition? I'm trying to find the source where both wikis got this info, but no luck so far. I was hoping to add a final CE to my collection to make it complete.

gaile said no CE. she also said there are 'other stuff in the works' that have not been named yet...perhaps additional content before GW2? Read in Dev section of the forums for her quote

There will be no CE. (confirmed by Gaile somewhere)

There will be a "preview/ headstart" event (August 24-26?) that will only be available if you buy the Pre-release. (we will be able to keep things from this event, and Gaile promises it will be different from past events like this).

... Overpriced.
40$, only 10$ less than the previous chapters, and yet it got so much less.
Less skills, 150 (with only 100 of them being PVP-legal) compared to 300+ in each of the previous chapters.
No extra character slots, they're worth 10$ each, each chapter had at least 2 of those.
No new professions.
No new PVP modes.
Less armor sets (40), each chapter had more.
Less heroes than Nightfall (10 compared to 15)
Oh, and it requires a previous chapter.

30$ sounds like a fitting price.

But so much more content... and thats the point of this EXPANSION, content!

If you think its over priced, don't buy it

Also it gives characters heroes even if they don't have nightfall, thats a bonus for some

Too me, the content is worth the price. I don't need anymore slots or professions, I just want new stuff to do for my old characters.
