How do I achieve 25 energy set?
chowbearion
My armor has +energy on them, how would I achieve to have a low energy set of 25 energy? To have 25 energy, My armor cannot have + energy to them but wouldn't that hurt me overall for having less mana?

I assume you're talking about PvP monking, if not energy hiding is a waste of time in PvE.
But you should be running atleast 600 health on a monk as a general guideline, using Survivor insignas. Having a few more energy to use is going to make little difference, energy management comes from efficient spell usage rather than having a massive pool to call on.

No. Max energy does nothing for you untill you need it. And when you need it, you weapon swap.
To achieve 25 energy... you take a +15% damage/-5 energy weapon... And a shield.

BTW does someone knows how to get an offhand which gives only +3e when the requirement isn't met? I heard they existed but each time I get one it gives +6 energy.
It ain't that important though now that E-denial is less frequent

Yea I was talking about pvp. + energy on my armor gives + 12 energy total and i have 581 health. Am I suppose to have any + energy on my armor for pvp? If not what type of rune/insignia should I have?
Turbobusa
I use either +10 armor vs physical or while enchanted on chest + legs, survivor on the rest
for the runes it depends on the build. I find reduced condition useful, fit one if you can
EDIT: cheers. But now i don't know what to do with that +5al/-5e mod i just bought! :-(

Turbobusa... IIRC, green offhands provide only 3 energy if the condition isn't met.
Better yet, the [wiki]Forgotten Fan[/wiki] provides -2 energy if you don't meet its req.

1) the fact that you have 581 health means that you most likely have not invested in superior vigor. If you plan to pvp with your char, you need to do that ASAP
2) yes, for the most part, survivor insignias are important in any real pvp. Stuff where like... spikes happen. If you're only planning on doing bullshit pvp like AB or RA or watnot, + armor would probably be a better way to go, since most of that stuff ISNT armor ignoring and you could prevent a good amount of damage that way.
3) as for negative energy set, IIRC blue and green focuses give +3 while purples and golds give +6. To achieve a 25 energy set, run a "brawns over brains" inscription (-5 energy) on a martial weapon and a shield. This is your hiding set. you should also have a normal cast set (i use +5e weapon & shield) and a high set.

If you plan to PvP, use health instead of energy armor. Negative energy set is rarely needed in PvE.
One possible negative weaponset:
- Crippling Cleaver of Fortitude
- Forgotten Fan
Some people prefer a shield instead of a fan.

You can get 25 with -5 energy weapon and shield, or 23 with a -5 energy weapon and a forgotten fan. Imo, unless I'm facing severe e-denial, I sit on my weapon+shield set, since it provides me 8 armor (with inscription +10 armor bonus or whatever) which is better than the fan.

you can also get +3 energy no req inscribable offhands too in nightfall, then a +5al -5e (ignorance is bliss) inscription can be used along with a focus core of your choice. But tbh I would just use a -5e weapon and a sheild. The extra 1e you will recieve when rezzed is fairly insignificant.
Pyro maniac
Loot focii give +6 energy
Collector/Crafter/Green focii give +3 energy
Put ignorance is bliss on it an you'll receive -2 energy from collector (/green/crafter) focus (where req isn't met)
