CD Key?
Imminentend
If im buying just a CD key off of Ebay would that allow me to download the full game off of the NCSoft website?
Lotrfish
Yes, it would.
However, I would suggest against buying it because it is most likely a scam, selling you a used CD key. The CD would then be worthless. You should only buy a sealed Guild Wars box or buy it directly from the online store.

Another thing they do is buy a key from the plaync.com website, sell it on eBay and then refute the charge to their credit card. They get the money back for the key + the money you gave them for the key and once the charge gets canceled, the key gets killed meaning your brand new shiny account gets turned off.

You can buy it from ebay and nobody will stop you from doing so. But if anything gone wrong like you get scam, the keys don't work etc. Anet and NCsoft will not be able to help you and you'll waste your money.

Like what's been said. CD keys + Ebay = nothing more than pain for you. Heed our advice and buy a sealed box from a retail store (earlier campaigns are getting really cheap now) or buy off of plaync.com.

In fact, some stores will sell you all three campaigns in a boxed set for $100.

If you are buying just a cd key (or anything at *ALL* related to GW) off of ebay
1: get your head examined, sounds like there's some mechanical problems.
2: just give the money to me, same net effect for you, bonus for me.
3: both 1 and 2
pick one

i brought gw off ebay used over 16 months ago..it went pretty smooth.
Just do your home work, check the sellers feedback and see what they have been buying or selling..you can usually peice together weather they are reliable or not. if they have 99% feedback and have sold over 100 things they they wont usually want to risk their account being tarnished over 10 pounds or so.
I asked the seller to email me the code and the email address change went pretty smooth.
Shortly after i brought factions through ebay as well unopened and asked if they could open the box and send me the code.
i checked the seller out and this deal went with no problems as well.

They still were in the Peoria, Il area as of the 3rd of July. Had a bunch of them.
